Reaching out

Friday, January 07, 2011

Well all I want is to reach out to othes who are on plateau.
I am not particularly upset because I loose weight so slowly.
I am going to up my walking and I might take a chance on a gym.
But having othes to talk about things when I am tempted by the things I should not have brought into my house would be really nice. I like the clothes I have and am sad that I will soon have to replace them with a smaller size...
DOES THAT SOUND LIKE CRAZY THINKING?
I NEED people who will tell me I am thinking crazy!
OK Sacramento and Roseville and Rocklin teams, help me get over my hump and mayabe I will be able to help you also.

I think we all go through phases in weight loss. That's ok. You know what you need to do to lose, refocus, think of what you can do different to kick up the workouts. I did my fair share over the holidays. I love California Family Fitness and there are tons of locations in the north area. I live near Sunrise and can think of 4 that are within a 10 min drive from my house. Madison is the favorite because it's small and it doesn't overwhelm you with too much equiptment. Don't fear the gym-it's my happy place! Plus building muscle helps to burn more calories faster.

    I'M SHOCKED!!!! YOU, HAVING DIFFICULTIES!!!!

LOL!
>You've been doing so great; I would take this plateau as an opportunity to reflect on how far you've come and I guess now would be a great time to reassess your wardrobe given your current weight. Keep the quality pieces and like Vivian says have alterations made so they fit the new you better.

I think going to the gym could also be a great change up to your routine; plus you could meet other folks that are also dealing w/a plateau as well.

I can't imagine that you've brought in too many food items into the house that are that bad!! If it really is junk food, just start keeping it off your grocery list and then sticking to your grocery list when you go out to by groceries. If its your favorite treat its your fav, so just plan for the indulgence once or twice a week.

For a gym I go to Roseville Sports Complex. It's not a pick up place and most of the population is over 40. To get over the hump try Dawn's pilates class. The toning works well!

You do need to let go of those clothes that have become too big (WAY TO GO!) but I understand. I have some night clothes that really need to be tossed but I love how comfy and roomy they have become!

HERE we are to support you.
Maybe since you love all your NEW THINGS..........How about ... (who would have thunk) ALTERATIONS??? Just a nip and tuck here and there and you can keep those pretty new things you have.

So you need a kick in the behind? Here's one............. emoticon and YES LADY, you are CRAZY THINKIN'.................

So what have you been bringing into the house that you shouldn't?? Did you get your kitchen in a mess? Are there demons hiding in your pantry?

Let it out - let it all out..............Let's GO TEAM.

the door doesn't latch and hubby thinks it is the cold weather making the wood contract.
I think he has left it unlatched so long the wind took it away and set it off kilter.
who is correct? only the wind knows.

    Actually only the wind knows....
Probably left unlatched (at some point) and the moisture in the air made the wood SWELL, making it difficult to latch.

Walked the Boards!

I will put a picture in tomorrow but I must crow.
My lovely older son has a masters in public history ( suma cum laude) and just was awarded his degree. He and his wife are a joy in my life. I thank God for allowing them in my life.

NO Time

Saturday, December 18, 2010

The days are so busy. I go from one activity to the next. Messing up and cleaning up.
Eating and exercising. Losing a pound putting it back on. Losing a pound. putting it back on.
I still push myself to walk. But I am so not into it with the rain.

I am finished practicing for maintainance.
I want to loose more weight NOW!
So I have a plan.
# 1 Post my food and exercise EVERY day.
#2 Eat in my food range and walk 10, 000 steps a day.
#3 Go see my accountability friend.

Mary Todd Lincoln (1818 - 1882)

Don't fret over the hurriedness of the season.
When the clouds clear and the music of the rain and winds have left the landscape then we can return to the challenges of every day.

I give you the gift of TIME.
Big hugs
