Oh me, oh my, O you, What ever can I do?

So it is like this I found a site where you put in your height and weight and it tells you how many calories to maintain. So hubby has a base line but he still has to watch it because he really wants to loose more and be in 32 inch pants.

I am having a terrible time with the stupid calcium pills my doctor wants me to take, making it too hard to defecate. Don't be shocked, we all do it every day and I have to take a fiber supplement and a probiotic blend and prunes to keep me free flowing. This can be an agony and I spent most of last Saturday in bed or visiting the small room.
I have increased the vegetables cooked and raw. I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
Doctor wants me to up the amount of calcium I take. I am choosing to do it with leafy green vegetables and milk products. No more pills than I am already taking..
Shoot I get PTSD just thinking about taking the stupid Calcium pills!.....

    I read research lately that the calcium pills are not good for you. I blogged on it at the time I think. You might Google calcium pills effects so you can update your doctor. It is very new research but rather alarming.

When I read it I have almost stopped taking calcium pills completely. I have a few more in the bottle that I will finish. I take them once or twice a week. When they are gone I don't plan to buy more.

Instead I am having low fat cottage cheese with fruit on top and yogurt along with fruit smoothies in the morning. This tastes much better than the calcium pills. I also have some cheese. I especially enjoy the cottage cheese with pineapple.

    A harsh reality of life is that we all have to go! And it feels really, really, awful when we can't. I hope this gets resolved for you. Have you talked to your Dr about the effects of the Calcium? Maybe there is an alternative.

    oH MY you are so right. How many pills do we have to take to reach our goals.....(you might try a stool softener even if it is ANOTHER pill).

Hubby hit his goal today and now he wants to know how many calories should he eat to maintain. Whoo! Hoo! How do I look up how many calories for a 5'7" person to maintain 160.
When he is thinner he looks so gaunt everyone asks if he is dying. ( really!)
He looses often but cannot keep it off over time.

So I am also celebrating, I am now 176. That makes 10 pounds to my next goal.
I am ultimately going to try to get down to 130 so I can be "NORMAL" weight.
All my plateaus are just practice for my eventual maintenance .

Age 60 (I guessed)
Activity level - I choose: moderate

calories needed to maintain: 2257.5

if activity is light: 1956.5 calories

    Congratulations to your Hubby.

You and I are almost in the same place weight wise. I am 179.2 and want to get to 130 as well.

missed the meet up

Well yesterday was another one of the days when I was so busy I missed myself coming and going! Cannot seem to fit enough things into the time available. I spend time waiting and then all hell breaks loose when I am already loaded down with things to do.
I was really happy my cousin sent a picture of my at 16. The dress was too big and way to long for a 16 year old.
So here it is Tuesday and I am waiting for my walking partner to call and let me know if she is ready to walk. I have not been on the site much for several weeks. All I do is post my food and exercise. I am happy to say I am off plateau ( how I practice being a goal ) and am moving down again. I want to be at my goal by November 7th

I have been not eating, then I have been eating. I have been walking some days and others I have not been walking. MY LIFE IS SO Busy I get so tired
My friend came over and then I went to work. Just picked the tomatoes that are surprisingly still producing. I am watering so maybe I will get the stuff that is green to produce. I am moving one of my raised beds. It produced almost nothing. I am going to dig under the new space and put some soil on the bottom and manure on the time to stew for the winter.
it is the raised bed that is right behind the blue tub that will be moved.
It should take me every spare minute this week. and may not be done until Saturday.
I need to move my ticker to 187. And I am needing more help leading the Roseville area team. I am just toto busy to do it all and my fellow leader works 60 hours a week.

All I have been doing is posting my food. I have only done one aerobic walk this week.
I had doctor appointments and test to be done. ( YO U KnOw the ONES)
Tomorrow I need to do a bone scan. They are so worried I will break something.
cannot upload my picture so I am just going to say it was nice to go to the scale and
wow the picture just popped in. any way I am moving my ticker down Monday morning as usual and I think I will be pleased with the results.
What I was trying to say was that even though I had clothes on, I weighed out below what I had weighed the week before .. so Hi Ho Cherrio......Oh or was that Silver.
