Ok

Sunday, September 05, 2010

I always enjoy help with the dishes. My cat Archie is seeking to get the job done.
All I have to do is put the dishes in the dish washer. He has not figured out how to get the water started. He sits in my sink while watching the hummingbirds come to the feeders.
I will have to get pictures of that.

Feeling comfortable.

Thursday, September 02, 2010

I was comfortable fat. but being thinner while exciting is bringing out feelings that I have been stuffing with all the food. I think I need to just take my time and know that It will still be me when I am thinner. I will just fit in a smaller size clothes.
People saw a different person. But the loving caring person I always was will still be there. I just have to trust the process. I just do not want to feel soo......
different, scared, not as tightly wrapped. Does that even make sense?
Maybe I should just stop thinking and know that my God wants me to be healthy.
I will be able to do the service that I am really appreciating and have the energy to accomplish now that I am thinner.
So ladies thank you for your support and here I go.

Over thinking things is a big down fall for me--I talk myself out of a lot of things that would be good and fun for me.
YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!

What a wonderful picture of you! emoticon

You look happy & healthy - what more could one ask for? Well, okay, lots of things, but those are a great base to build on. We all know that feeling that we might not be perceived as the same person once we lose weight, but we (all your Sparkfriends) also know that the same person is inside. If the rest of the world is too shallow to see it, just come visit with us.

You can go beyond comfortable and feel FANTASTIC in your new body.
More energy and strength than you have experienced in years. Freedom to be able to move like a gazelle, quick and light. You are doing great. Do not be afraid, you will be fine. We know you are the same loving person but more beautiful every day in every way. Do not over-think it. Just stay healthy and active and loving like you are.

Hugs

I do not feel ....

Wednesday, September 01, 2010

I am afraid to loose more weight. I have been excited and anxious and happy.
But now I am feeling fearful about taking off more weight.
I am uncomfortable with my body. It is mushy and things are dangling.
I have to wear those stretchy things that hold everything in.
I do not want to be sexy just feel better.
But one of the side effects is I look pretty.
I just don't want that.I am too old for pretty.

I understand what you're saying. Although I am just one-quarter the way to goal, I am surprised at being not quite so "invisible." But, it's a good thing, and I think you look great! Just keep moving until you get where you want to go.

I don't think you can ever be too old for pretty. You can never be too old to be healthy either. Don't be afraid but you do have to be comfortable with yourself.

Never too old for anything that you want to be or do. Age is a state of mind and you are definitely not OLD by any means. Do not be afraid. Keep up the healthy lifestyle and SHINE.

There is no such thing as too old for pretty.

As long as it's within medically acceptable ranges, losing a few more pounds will be better for your health.

Keep on going. Eating well and exercising are great for you!

It is a beautiful ending to summer

Saturday, August 28, 2010

It has been cooler than any summer I have ever experienced in the Sacramento area since we got here in 1973. I have been planting trees and keeping them growing but trying to choose the ones that will not destroy the foundation of the house.
I had to take out a tree in the back yard in preparation for repairing the fence.
It was pushing it into the neighbor's yard.
A couple of hours of work and the pile for big trash day is ready.

The tree is now gone and I had to pull out the pink rose bush.
It is replanted, I hope it does not die, on the other side of the lot by the fruit trees.

Here Western New York (heart of the snow capital), we had a very hot and sunny summer. Everyday we have been in the pool and we have not had much rain. So thank you for sharing those warm temps with us this year.

What a beautiful, peaceful, back yard you have. And think of all the exercise you are getting!

What kinds of fruit do you grow and how much of it is edible? I have had some success transplanting roses but you do have to baby them for a while. I hope your rose bush does well.

First day of school.

Monday, August 23, 2010

So I went back to work today. I am a cafeteria worker. It is my goal to get the kids to love us. Sometimes the children are just distracted and confused.
Especially the little ones. I got one of the noon aids to help a little girl who forgot her milk but no one would let her cut to get it. I am on the other side of the counter with a line of kids wanting their plate and could not get out to help her. Cooperation works.
Every day this next week, I will ask her if she has her milk and smile.

Love the story! I also went back to school today. I'm a PE teacher. I don't have a wonderful story to tell about today, but yours is great. Have an awesome day tomorrow and tell that little girl hi for me!

Thanks Maria, and those noon aides are invaluable as the little ones get used to what really happens in the lunch line.

Bless you.
