Walked a little more

I have decided that if I am so uncomfortable with walking 10,000 steps I should do enough to do 5,000 at an aerobic pace and keep going for as long as I am feeling fine. When I have a bad night or feel stressed sometimes the walking makes me feel better and sometimes it makes me feel worse.
I am going to work my way up to more steps at an aerobic pace and not worry about total steps. Maybe if I am so tired I need to stop and walk again later. Maybe I need to bring water with me.
I will pay with it.

    as above listen to your body if you need to stop then stop and maybe go out later, always bring water, you are doing great, it will get better when I first started I was only doing about 5,000 steps also. Good LUck have a great weekend!

    You have worked out this plan that will work for you. Congrats! We all need to do what we can do that works into our lifestyle. Have you looked into chair exercise DVDs? They are simply wonderful!

    I think that is a good idea. Just keep walking. You'll get stronger. Maybe just do your 5000 steps at aerobic pace and then just stroll for your cool down. 5000 steps is about 2 miles, isn't it? It's understandable that you would get tired after that distance. I think you are doing great!

    Listen to you body. It will tell you what you need to do. When I first started walking I could barely make it one mile. I took it slow, and didn't push myself past what I could handle. Now two months later I am walking faster and put on over 3.5 miles last Sunday morning. I still walk at a turtles pace, but I am still doing it.

    I think maybe you have been overdoing it. Perhaps a smaller number of steps, or miles..... and you will feel better.

So I really cut down on my walking this last week. Just had to get some tasks done around the house and it was warmer. I also do not have as many people to meet and walk. So I will walk by myself in my neighborhood and get my time in.
LOoking to get into the 170's this week.

    today is the perfect day for a nice walk. It is only 88! I think we have been pretty lucky this summer. It could be hotter. Before we know it fall will be here and the weather will be perfect! emoticon

I am so excited I actually got to 180 today in the morning on Monday.
I am afraid to change my ticker because I really cannot be sure I won't be up again tomorrow but I have hope. I just contacted the woman who turned me on to Spark and thanked her again.

I am really happy that while I ate more than usual the weekend of the wedding. I had such a great time seeing my family and a great time driving with hubby. And I walked 10,000 steps every day. But this week I have been harvesting and making jam and just taking naps.
I have moved my ticker down one more pound and I seem to be loosing.
So Sometimes taking a break from the grind is helpful.
Now I am going to pick up ( what ever I see that is out of place ) put away, find a place for or toss or donate.

I am only doing three miles a day this week. I have had so much house work to catch up on I just did not get to the walking with intensity since I got back on Wednesday evening. I feel quite tired.
But on the good side I have two more batches of peach jam.
I need to get to the store for more pectin. I will make some reduced sugar and no sugar plum jam.
Does anyone know a good way to use apples and pears. It looks like a bumper crop for me this year.
I am 182.5 today and I am hoping to get below 182 tomorrow so I can change my ticker.
I need advice.. I bought four dresses to wear at the wedding and I really like two of them but the other two I never wore and do not know If I ever will wear them. Should I take them back. I still have the tags on.
They were on low sale or clearance, they were 21 dollars a piece.

    Oh the wedding is over and I got talked out of wearing them for two events. My sister thinks we need to fit in with the look of the 40 Year olds. But I should have followed my own advise and worn what would have been appropriate for a 50/60 year old.

    Finding that many dresses that YOU LIKE and FIT WELL is in itself an achievement. If you are sure you won't wear them, then take them back (if you can). Otherwise, you can keep them and hope that an occasion comes up. Maybe an evening out with your hubby? Dresses are so GREAT.

As for apples and pears, you can clean them, cut them and get them ready for pies and freeze. Or you can GO ALL THE WAY. .. and make the crusts too... and then freeze them.

    I know what you mean about needing to get housework done! It's a job! Hope you were able to get to the store for more pectin so you can make more jam. This is something I have never done, but would like to do this coming year. My neighborhood garden buddy and I went to a Master Gardener canning session. So I now have basic understanding about how its done; and now I need to to just do it. I've got tons of plums that I need to pick this week for my first attempt. If you can, send me your no sugar plum jam to try next week...

About the dresses. Four new dresses!!!! FUN!! Can you wear everyone of them for different wedding activities??? (You know, the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding shower??) If you love them all, you should keep them all. But if you you'll only be able to wear 2 of them & know for sure you'll never wear the others, you should probably take them back. But dressess you like for only $21 each is fantastic!! Good luck on your decision.
