I am walking every day at least 30 minutes. I really appreciate every one who comments on my blog. I have cut out coffee and any added salt from my food plan. I started this Saturday after my physical at my Doctor.
He said I just have to cut out the Pot of coffee I had been drinking and I had been eating way too much salt. No more salted chips.

Good for you! It's all about progress not perfection! You're a beautiful work in progress, and don't forget it!

good for you for making this commitment to your health. Caffeine and salt also make you retain water, so giving these up you'll probably see that scale moving down fast! good luck to you, i'd love to know how it goes. I gave up salt about two years ago and now am very sensitive to it, so if I order something at a restaurant it's almost always unbearably salty unless I specify. there are seasoning salts out there with no salt, I think mrs dash has one, and its great on EVERYTHING! eggs, chicken, beef, casseroles, you won't miss salt at all!

coming down

I am still feeling like i have a temperature and my pectoral muscles are very sore but I am doing a short walk and my regular activities which include two part time jobs. Easy does it. Slow and steady wins the race.

You've got the right idea. If you are not feeling well, easy does it and slow and steady wins the race. My entire healthy lifestyle with regards to exercise is like that because the only things I can do are the stretches my physiotherapist gives me to do and walking with my Walker. Best wishes!

I am sorry you are not feeling well but take it slow and easy. You don't want to push to soon to fast.

Little steps are better than none at all!
If you keep moving just a little you will see it is better and you can do more and more!
Keep it up - you can do it! emoticon emoticon

Fell face first

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

I fell face forward. It was like slamming into the floor. My whole right side is sore but nothing was broken. just some purple skin. Elbo cut, knee purple and "pectoral" quite sore. Got to be much more careful. I wasn't even rushing. I broke my odometer but I think it is just the battery. I really landed on it! Oh well, no pain no gain. emoticon

Mom at Rehab

Saturday, November 14, 2009

My Mother is a beautiful person. I love her so deeply.
I wish she had made different choices about her health while she was young enough to change. I can learn from her today, if I am open to being taught.
God be with you all who choose to read this.
