Tomorrow is another day

Monday, November 02, 2009

often I feel as if I am facing the Grand Canyon. Eleven miles across and no way to get there but down. I cannot even see the other side or how I will look like when I get there. but I have experienced the before's of life.
I remember how my house looked before the remodel. we had a broken window in the bathroom and were replacing it. we found water damage and termites below.
Needless to say years have gone by and we have many of the projects that were necessary finished.
This is the house before. I could not have imagined how it looks today.
I cannot imagine how I will look when I have finished my "remodel"

Hang in there Maria! We'll never know what God has in store for us if we stop moving forward and towards Him. Do you know that kid's song "He's still workin' on me..."? I'm thankful that He's not finished with me yet (another song!) because I know I'm not where He wants me to be. He's still workin' on you too! emoticon emoticon Sherri

Tomorrow's memories

Friday, October 23, 2009

When I think about the fact that I have wasted many of the precious days that have been given to me. I realize that not the greatest effort or prayers or anything can change what has already taken place in the past.
I sometimes let them cloud the successful days, the joyous days, the glorious days. But My History need not viewed with sadness.
I just need to take hold of this precious day that lays before me and use it to make the memories that will bring me joy, love and hope.

You know, you can look back on those precious memories and keep them just that...precious. They don't have to be reminders of what didn't get done etc., but lessons you can apply now and pass on to future generations. So do take hold of each day as precious and enjoy what you can out of it, because all memories, good or bad, can teach us something and be passed on so that those who follow behind us don't make the same mistakes we did. Think positive!

I want

Monday, October 19, 2009

Well
I want to get over 100 spark points today and that means I need to do something like posting this blog.
I want to keep my resolutions about not eating after 6 but when I skip a meal it really does me in.
I want to walk every day but when it is raining as hard as it is today, it is difficult.
I actually love this weather and will get used to it. I need to purchase a rain slicker to walk in.
I am looking at that sunflower in the picture. It is all dry now and the seeds will be available to plant next spring. I could have dozens of sunflowers next year. I could also be healthier, I just have to trust the process. I just have to be conscious of what I really want.
Just for Today i will be conscious of what I am eating.

You said it, "trust the process." Try to not discouraged about missing a day or two of walking. Look at what you are doing, and you're do many, many positive things to improve your health.

Love ya

Great post - its how we all feel from time to time. Gotta get those points in so we log in - post - exercise, etc. That is what is so great about SP - the motivation that gets us and keeps us more healthy than the day before. It is a one day at a time lifestyle

TV and eating

Friday, October 16, 2009

Any time I eat in front of the TV I tend to over eat.
so Part of my challenge is to practice finding something else to do.
Part of my challenge is to eat at the table in gratitude.
Thinking is the answer. Putting it in God's hands is the answer.

That TV causes a whole lot of problems for a whole lot of people, don't it? However, the creator of all wants your problems so your right where you should be.

Good luck!

mindful meals two

Monday, October 12, 2009

I have been doing the best I am able to eat mindfully but I ate two pears at work standing in the kitchen waiting for the machine to stop running.
Oh well I wasn't doing any thing else.
I really would rather have sat down and ate it at ease instead of on the run.
