TV and eating

Any time I eat in front of the TV I tend to over eat.
so Part of my challenge is to practice finding something else to do.
Part of my challenge is to eat at the table in gratitude.
Thinking is the answer. Putting it in God's hands is the answer.

mindful meals two

I have been doing the best I am able to eat mindfully but I ate two pears at work standing in the kitchen waiting for the machine to stop running.
Oh well I wasn't doing any thing else.
I really would rather have sat down and ate it at ease instead of on the run.

mindful meals

I had a mindful breakfast meal with hubby reading the paper and me thinking about how hungry I was and I am not any more.
I had a mindful lunch chatting with hubby and sonny #1.
They are both excellent human beings. I like to think I had something to do with that.

    Being mindful really is helpful when we are trying to change our habits. I think it is a bonus when we are mindful of how wonderful our husbands and children are...and sure you had something to do with that...and they are lucky you feel the way you do. All too often we take those closest to us for granted. Way to go...and have a good journey on your quest for a better lifestyle.

the two meals I had today had no vegetables. I had a yogurt with fruit for breakfast and I ate on the run a piece of pizza cheese . Not my idea of good weight loosing food plan. No mindful meals yet.

    The only way that I've been able to successfully keep to any kind of healthy meal plan was to actually write out a week's worth of menus in advance. Then, even if I didn't stick to it, I knew what I was supposed to be eating so I tried to stay close.
