Where is the motivation?

My motivational item is hanging on a hanger in my dining room. My wedding dress is a size 8 and doesn't quite fit the way I would like for it too. So by hanging it where I walk past it about 50 times a day my goal stays in my mind at all times. I see this dress all day because of the location I hung it in. I have three and a half months to lose enough weight to make this 1800s style dress fit like it was custom made. I am excited to get this goal met and am looking forward to May and the wedding I actually get to plan and make the way I want! emoticon

  


Ten Miles

Today I hit the milestone of walking 10 miles in a week. One of the teams I belong to on here has a challenge to walk from where you are to any destination you choose. This walk is virtual and I 10 miles from my home in this challenge and I am about to start to up the first mountain on this journey. With determination and persistence I can be in the town where my mom lives in about 3 days time a week tops. Her home is 22 miles from my location on the walk. emoticon

Nine Days!!

emoticon Today marks nine days clean and sober. I am so proud of myself for this accomplishment. To others it maybe a small detail, but when in the early stages of recovery EVERYDAY clean and sober is a mile stone.

My weight loss is a different story. I have given myself a challenge and since I set that challenge I have not walked a single mile of the 4,535 miles. I need to give the same determination to the weightloss as I do to staying clean and sober.

As far as your walking goal, just start slow. Every step will add up and before you know it you will be racking up those miles!

I ate so much food tonight at that Back to School BBQ. I am going to have to probably exercise 48 straight hours to recover the deficit I had at 3. I am amazed at how quickly the calories added up when I think back to what my plate looked like it was basically a normal plate.
