Getting ready for chilly weather.

Friday, December 18, 2009

Still enjoying the sun here in Mexico where I live but come Tuesday I will head off to Pennsylvania where I hear there is a snow storm headed in. I just hope that the roads are clear and the airport when I land. I am not so sure this gal's body is ready to handle all that cold weather...my blood has gotten pretty thin in the 4 years I have lived here. But seeing the grandkids will make it all worth it.

Bye Bye 2 lbs.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

Finally the pizza and beer two pounds left my body..
Chilly here in Mexico today....but I guess it is good to help me get in shape for our visit up to Pennsylvania for the holidays. Wonder if being chilly/cold burns calories?

One can only hope and pray that being chilly/cold burns calories, but then things like hot coco and cookies puts it right back on.....wish that statement worked on burning calories but I've lived in Central IL all my life and it seems like in the winter, we just eat more to stay warmer.....bad idea......

Enjoy your trip to Pennsylvania, hope the weather won't be too crazy during your stay.

Crazy how fast you can put it on!

Still working on getting the 2 lbs. off from the pizza and beer day. I have been doing everything right such as exercising, tracking food, and keeping within my calorie counts...but they just don't want to come off. It certainly is a learning lesson that one can not eat with reckless abandonment too often.

Tell me about it. I went to AC for a week in September and put on five lbs in that week. Went with a loose fitting pair of jeans, came back with a tight pair, LOL.

I know. In just the few days that I have slipped I have put back on 3 pounds and it is so discouraging, but I am still trying.

It is discouraging how long it takes to get weight off, but how quickly you can put it back on. Just keep with it (and like the previous poster said, drink your water) and your weight will creep back down again.

Finally gave into the pizza and beer with husband.

Friday, December 11, 2009

My husband once again wanted to go to our favorite pizza place here in Ajijic. So I gave in yesterday and had the personal size thin crust with sauce and cheese. I ate half for lunch and half for diner. also had two beers. The good news is that I also hiked 3.5 miles so that helped a litte....but the better news is that i got right back on program today and did a spinning class and ate healthy. In the past it would have been days of eating anything I wanted since I broke down, but not the new me. I get right back on track and I credit sparks and tracking to motivating me to get control again. I love sparks.

That sounds like the way to do it. I do things like this myself on occasion and once I track it I find out I didn't do as bad as I thought.

Bright and sunny outside and my outlook is also bright and sunny.

Wednesday, December 09, 2009

My husband wanted to go out for beers and pizza today and even though I am at goal weight, I asked him if it would be okay for me to save those calories for over the holidays when we travel up north to see the kids and grandkids. I probably could have done both....I could have skipped the beers and just had the simple thin crust pizza with just tomato and small amount of cheese but my husband was supportive so we skipped it and I was able to have a healthy nutritious diner of chicken and avocado. So my darling husband helped me have a bright and sunny outlook today with his support.

It is wonderful when you have someone that will support you in your goals. My husband tries but doesn't always succeed. emoticon
