Per request I added a bunch of photos today

Sunday, March 14, 2010

Several of you ask about my life here in Mexico. I just took the time to add some photos of Casa Watson so that you can enjoy the fun colors, view of lake and mountains and such. I reached my limit of photos allowed to be posted so I will have to delete some and update as the new construction outside is completed with the new pool, outdoor fireplace, etc. I do feel so blessed to be able to have retired early and move to such a wonderful place, Ajijic, Mexico. Hope you all enjoy glimpsing into more about life here.

I have been looking at your photo page tonight, and oh my goodness, how beautiful is this home you have retired to. Is your hubby retired also? I was fortunate to retire at 50, however, my hubby won't be retired for several more years. We would love to retire to a place just like yours. What we want to do is rent a retirement home for a month or so (winter), and then keep our home here in Ohio b/c our family is here. We like the idea of AZ, but wow, your place there is just gorgeous. I thought it was Greece at first glance. :)

Visited Orphanage today - photos of cuties!

Saturday, March 13, 2010

Tom and I went out to the orphanage today to play with the kids and give the Madre some money for education. I think the photos speak for themselves. We have been going out to the orphanage now for about 4 years and have seen so many of the children grow and do well in school. As many of you know, Tom and I work to secure funds by sponsorship to pay for the education of the children. Enjoy some of the photos.

What sweetiepies! Thanks for the comment on my blog - it's inspirational to know that I too might be able to become a reformed party girl someday. :) Haha. I love that you get to spend all your time in a place I only ever get to vacation in...and I bet all that warm weather is great motivation to stay in shape!

Just another cow relaxing in Mexico along the street

Friday, March 12, 2010

Not a care in the world just chilling out along the cobblestone street. I love the life down here...you never know what you will see or what will hold up traffic. we have horse jams, chicken jams, cow jams, goat jams, and such. Just thought I would share more of life in Mexico.

Who's knocking at my door?

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Just an average scene here in Ajijic, Mexico. A cow stopping to take a drink along his walk down our cobblestone street. Even cows know that water is a good drink!
