Yesterday my husband wanted to go out for BBQ ribs at one of our favorite restaurants down here in Mexico. I am at goal weight so I thought okay, I can eat small portions. So I ordered the ribs and a Negro Modelo my fav beer. The ribs came with a small baked potato with butter. I ate about 5 ribs(they weren't that big) drank my beer and had maybe half the small buttered potato. I also had several sips of my husband's margaritas. This place makes the best and they sure make you "happy". Anyway, when we got home about an hour later I was hungry again. The thing is that once you eat the crap food your body craves more crap food and nothing nutritious. I think that you get hungry again sooner because you really haven't eaten anything nutritious and your body is saying "where's the good stuff"..."where's my fiber", etc. So I should have had a nice salad to counter balance the crap, but no........I ate half a tube of really salty saltines and 4 ginger cookies. I did drink a Yakuilt to help me digest the grease from the ribs since I am not used to eating them. But my lesson learned was not to do that too often because my body goes into shock and craves even more bad food. So today will be a new day and I will eat really healthy things to get some vitamins and nutrients back into my body.
