Back on track and feeling good.

Thursday, May 19, 2011

Been eating right now again for a couple of days and I must say I am feeling good. It's just so nice when you are in control. Makes your body feel good but your mind feel even better. As I watched Biggest Loser this week I was identifying with the attitude change the last contestants had. I think they really get it now and never want to go back to the old ways. It is so telling when they show the videos of when they were heavier. And it's wonderful to see the transformations. So inspiring. I hope the show can help others in need and inspire them to get healthy.
Hope all my sparks buddies are going fabulous!

Excellent progress, well done on enjoying a healthier food intake - your mind and body will appreciate its goodness!

If you feel this good in just a couple of days, imagine how much better after a few more - keep it going!

Hurray! It does feel good, doesn't it? I have been struggling with so much stress lately, and trying so hard to deal with it in healthy ways, rather than eating and imbibing too much...so, here's to staying healthy!

Glad you are feeling better! I agree with you about the latest episode of The Biggest Loser. I started watching The Biggest Loser after joining SP and I have gained a ton of motivation from the show.

Always sad when old family friends die.

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

One of my parent life long dear friends died. He was ill for a while and is now at peace but it is still sad to see. I know it must be even harder for my Mom since she keeps loosing friends. I can remember all the fun they all had as young parents. We always got together with a group of the same folks and all the children would run and play and the parents would laugh and sing around campfires and all. Great Memories. Anyway, God Bless Mr. Knauer, may you rest in Peace.
Hope all my sparks buddies are doing just great today.

of the fun times together. I hope your mum copes with

I sure know what you mean. The only problem for us is that daddy is the last one around of the old family friends when my brother and I were little. They were all military friends and were closer than family. ((HUGS))

Yes it is sad. My DH and I have friends well into their 80's whom we met when we moved to Oregon. They are lovely people and it is sad to see their health changing. From very active people in their 60's to not being able to walk or hike or drive. Very painful to lose them. We've lost several members of our photo club but will never forget them.

Waking up to a new day

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

So the scale says once again I gained several pounds. Sure doesn't take much to do so. I am looking forward to getting back on track today and eatting right. I just feel so much better when I eat the right foods. Today I feel sluggish since I have been eating off program for the last couple of days. It is so amazing to me how much food effects how you feel. I have also noticed that sometimes when I eat too much veggies and fiber I feel tired as well. So it's important for me to pay attention to what I eat and how much.
So here's to today, a new start to getting back on track so that I feel good and perhaps get a couple pounds off before we leave and go back to Pennsylvania to visit the grand kids next week.
Hope all my sparks buddies are doing just great.

I planned on a high calorie day today but when I finished tracking it was only 1200- well below my range- so I had a glass of milk and a few graham crackers with peanut butter.
Bet you have a pretty low calorie range, Peanut!

Floating away on warm day.

Sunday, May 15, 2011

My husband and I got to Guadalajara yesterday and bought several floating devices for the pool. Then the neighbors came over and we all floated the day away. Of course then we had to grill hamburgers and drink cold beers. great day though. Lots of fun.
Hope all my sparks buddies are doing great!
