I weighed in this morning and was pleasantly surprised to see that I have met and passed my first goal. I wanted to get to 230 pounds for my first goal. When I weighed in this morning I was at 228.5. I have gotten rid of a total of 9.5 pounds since 12/4/08. My next goal is 215. I'm hoping to be there by Valentine's Day or so.
I am very pleased with myself for the progress that I have made so far. It is amazing how much logging your food and exercise can help. I have also gotten into a routine. Each morning I take my daughter to school, my sister to work and I head to the Y to work out. I try to do at least 30-45 minutes of cardio and a few weights. I come home and do what needs done here until my hubby comes home from work and then (if I feel like it, which I usually do) I go back to the Y in the evening with him. I might do another 15-20 minutes of cardio (depending on how busy it is) and a few more weight machines. If I got in a really hard work out in the morning then I might not go in the evening, or if I have other things that need done (Girl Scout Meetings, etc.). This routine is working very well for me but it has been hard on us financially since I'm not working. Then again, the doctor says if I don't lose the weight I won't be around to do anything. We will get through this with alot of hard work and prayer.
Thank you to everyone here for all of the encouragement that you all have given me. I really appreciate it and, believe me, it helps alot.
