Ms Chloe my female calico says Purrrr-fect. I know there rare, 1 in 30,000 they say. A breeding male calico is almost considered impossible.

Calico's are such affectionate cats...we've had a number of them. Our present calico "adopted" us several years ago. I found her in my car one morning curled up in the seat sleeping. We have an adopted calico (female). She is NOT 2 pounds and needs to log onto Spark Kittie! We are special friends. She lived at the cat shelter my wife works at for more than 2 years. She doesn't like people, and will gently bite them, which is why her name is Nibbles! I am not much of a cat person (although we have 4), so it stands to reason that Nibbles and I would become best friends! She jumps up on my lap and purrs for awhile. She wont go near anyone else. Today is a day that I will NEVER forget!
We went to the beach today hoping for a nice, somewhat quite, day. I packed stuff for a barbecue and all of the kids were excited to be able to go and try out their new boogie boards . The surf was really high and very strong! Perfect for this kind of stuff right?
Well all of this came to a screeching halt as we were walking down to the beach. As we were walking, this lady comes towards me and says to me , you see that person out in the water? I looked and way out was this person all I could see was the head and it kept going under and then surfacing again. I sent her for help and I jumped into action! I was able to pull him out and give him the help he needed. He was to tired to swim towards shore and between the waves and the power that they create . The waves would push him towards the shore and then take him back out and he got tired out and couldn't go anymore.
The man is alright Thank you JESUS! And I am whooped! After all of the excitement, he was able to join us all for dinner! We were not going to go to the beach in the beginning. We were going to just stay home and grill and swim in the pool. Thank God that I was in the right place at the right time. Life is so precious! And you never know when you are needed. We have to think the same way about our Spark Friends! We are all so far apart from each other and the only way we will know if one of us needs another is by staying in contact with each other either by spark mail, personal e-mail, or by phone if that's the case.
You ALL are so precious to me and if there is anything you ever need, I am here for YOU! Anytime you all are out and about, please Remember the other guy! always keep your eyes and ears open 'cause you never know when the other guy may need you! I Love you all and I hope you had a blessed holiday and I hope you have a wonderful week! HUGS, Your friend Rose

That's amazing! I used to like to watch Rescue 9ll for just that reason. My father was a game warden and patroled a lake. My Mom would signal him with an orange towel hung over our porch railing if he needed to come in off the lake for something important. We had a neighbor that ran a bar. She thought my Dad had turned her in for bootlegging and was not friendly to us. Her grandson was swimming with some other kids. He got on an innertube, but he didn't know how to swim. The wind took him away from the shore and he was trying to paddle back toward the shoreline, when he either went through the center of the innertube or it flipped him into the water. My Mom heard the kids screaming for help. She went to the lake and found out what happened and ran to the house and called the sheriff and hung out the orange towel over the porch railing. My Dad stripped of his clothes except for his socks T shirt and undershorts and went looking for the boy. The kids were off by many feet of the place he went under and he drowned. The state police found the body in about ten feet of water using grapling hooks. Cars stopped along the road upon hearing the kids yelling for help. One woman had the gall to get mad at my Dad for stripping to his underwear in public. After that, the woman that owned the bar had a whole new attitude toward our family. I never felt the same about swimming there again. Sometimes things would fall out of peoples' boats or off their docks and if I found a flip flop or a shoe along the shoreline, I wondered if it was his. May God reward you richly for your courage.
