I Vow....

My Vow starting 02/25/13


I will gain control over my eating

I will not eat out of the bowl/box/bag

I will track my calories honestly

I will use food as fuel not a mindless binge

I will eat more fruits and vegetables

I will decrease my sodium intake

I will eat more protein, less carbs to have a more balanced diet.

I will eat more of my allotted calories early in the day

No eating after 7:00 (or after dinner)

I will respect my body

I am not a dog. I will not eat off my kids plates

I will realize I am more than the # on the scale

I will lead by example

I will reach my goals

I will be consistent

I will stay positive

I will see a set back as a comeback

I will drink 8+ cup s of water

I will think if I am really hungry before I eat

  


Good Start to the Year

Well- This month I stuck to my goals.. I wanted to get under 150 before today.. I did not quite make it. I did lose 6.8 pounds which is pretty good I think! I am happy with it. I have not worked out as intensly the last 2 weeks bc I had sick kids last week and this week I hurt my foot and have slight vertigo so I could not go to Zumba or inZanity on Wed. I also have not been able to run. It's my sons party this week end and I am going to make healthy food choices.

This month my goal is to lose 3-4 pounds, work out 4 days a week after work, walk everyday at work, and do weights 2-3 days a week.

Starting weight for Jan 157.4
Ending 150.6

    Even though you didn't reach your goal weight you are REALLY, REALLY close! Seeing everything you dealt with, that is awesome!

Wasted

So- I have wasted teh last 3 months. I keepsaying this month will be better than the last and it starts out great.. And than holidays hapen and it all goes to bad! This is a new month and a new year. I will finish the weight loss portion of my journey and move on to the maintaining part. I am stronger than my addiction to food! I will do this! This will be a great month! I am not falling down again. I am back up and staying up!

Lower number, bigger motivation

So far I am kicking it this week (and did last week to for the most part). I am feeling so much better about myself now that I am back on track. I feel healthier and like I look better. I started a Facebook page entitile Meljourney to share my journey with others. If you want to follow me on there please go and like my page. SO far since last monday I am down 3 pounds! I lied!

Well- Novemeber turned out to be my worst month I think! I have now gained 11 pounds in 2 months. Part of it was too much good food and drinks over the weekend with my relatives. I am not making excuses. I just know where I go wrong. I like good! I like to eat even when I am not hungry. I eat when I am bored. I eat when I am stressed out. I know all these things about myself. Now to make what I know work for me. I had lost 75 pounds so the 11 I gained and more past that may be hard but I know I can do it! December will be my month! Even with Christmas and New Years. I will make healthier choices and excercise like I know I need to!
