Yesterday was tough

Friday, February 11, 2011

Yesterday was a tough day for me. For some reason, I was totally exhausted. I had decided that I was just going to skip working out since I was so tired BUT at 7:30 last night, I managed to do a 20minute zumba express workout. I was so proud of myself for powering through and getting in a quick workout at least. Anyways, just wanted to share with my Spark friends!

it's been a while

Friday, January 28, 2011

I just realized I haven't posted a blog for awhile, so here's my update.

Life has been pretty busy lately. My hubby is away for work, so I packed up my daughter and joined him in Virginia for 10 days. I took a Zumba video and some bands and managed to get three workouts in during the trip. We also spent a lot of time walking around and at the park, so I'm pretty happy with that.

We are waiting to find out when and where we are moving to, so that is a little stressful. Fear of the unknown!

Next week, we are heading to Jamaica for a wedding. I'm leaving my precious little girl with my mom since the wedding is at Sandals (no children allowed). I've never left her for more than an overnight trip, so hopefully I can make it that long without her. She will be fine. LOL, she loves my mom and dad and is always asking to go visit them. I'm more worried about whether or not I can make it through the 76 hours without seeing her.

For exercise right now, I'm doing Zumba for cardio and P90X for strength training. I'm not following the whole program, just modifying it and making it my own.

I guess that's pretty much it. Have a great weekend!

i totally get you about leaving your daughter behind.
Kirsten has never had a sleep over, never been away for the night.
Its really normal, even if you know she is in good hands ;)

Are you moving because of the work from your husband?

I'm so sore from P90X Legs and Back yesterday that I can hardly move. emoticonThat won't, however, keep me from going to Zumba this morning. I hope it doesn't KILL me!!!

Shoulders and Arms workout

Thursday, January 06, 2011

I did the P90X shoulders and arms workout today (for the first time). It was a great workout but I was thinking that maybe I should have had a higher weigh. I just used 5lbs for all the exercises. I think I need 8lb dumbbells (which I don't own) because I think 10lbs would have been a little too much. I am starting to feel sore now though, so maybe the 5lbs was enough. I guess I'll have a better idea about it tomorrow.

I did shoulders and arms last night and used 8lb weights. At times, I used 5 lb weights but think I will need bigger weights as well. I do feel my arms today so did get a good workout. emoticon

P90X Lean week 2

Monday, December 20, 2010

I have made it through another week! I'm still sore but not as bad as last week! I had to buy some new bands because the old (cheap) ones that i had broke during the legs and back workout. I did plyometrics instead of cardio x this week and zumba instead of kenpo. Other than that, I stuck to the schedule. I really enjoy it and think I will see good results with it. I am leaving on Thursday and will be away for 1 1/2 weeks, so I will just be doing cardio while I'm gone. I'm not sure if I am going to start over completely when I get back or just pick up with week 3. I guess I'll see how I feel when I get home.

Have a great week! Merry Christmas!
