P90X Lean week 1 in review

I finished my first week! YAY!!! Ok, I didn't do it exactly as I was suppose to do it. I couldn't do all the moves but improvised and did something else for those super hard moves. I hate yoga. I have serious balance issues and I am not flexible so that entire workout was just difficult for me. I love kenpo and stretch and cardio x. I also really like the legs portion of legs and back. Core synergistics is not too bad either. I have a love/hate relationship with Ab Ripper. I am hoping to learn to love the rest of them one day soon :) It is really hard but not impossible. I feel really good about it!

I will only be doing a couple of weeks of the lean program before I leave for Christmas vacation. I guess I'll probably just start over at week one since I'll be gone for almost two full weeks. But at least I'll have a good feel for what to expect and it can't hurt to have a couple of weeks of it under my belt before Christmas.

  Congrats on not waiting to start just because you will have to put it on hold for a little while. Starting now will make it easier when you get back. While you start losing muscle after 2 weeks of not doing the exercises, you only start then so your work will still have some benefit.

Well, it's only day four but so far I'm still alive. I was worried about the difficulty and whether not I could actually do it. I do find some of it too tough to do but I have been able to do most of it. I have Yoga today and from what I've read, it's a killer. Wish me luck Spark world!

    MrsK, I work around her nap schedule or do it after bedtime. It's tough to fit in but I'm really trying to do it!

Exercise/healthy eating

Is not perfect right now but for this time of year - with family visiting and us going to visit other family/friends, I think I'm doing okay. I'm still eating pretty well (besides Thanksgiving plus leftovers for a couple days) and I'm still moving (getting at least 2-3 days cardio/1-2 strength training) even if that is way less than usual for me. So, while everything isn't perfect, I refuse to feel guilty about it. Life happens and it's not a perfect world. I'll continue to do as much as I can to keep up with my healthy life plan, but flexibility is the key to getting through the rest of the year.

    I hear that, I haven't been able to exercise lately with the pain I'm in .. but I do as much as I can .. then I sit! lol

    You go girl! Feeling the same--I lost 2 ounces today--and am SO TOTALLY PUMPED ABOUT IT (even though it's only 2 ounces, it's better than gaining, and even better than staying the same...)

YAY!!! I'm so ready to get to zumba in the morning that I'm not sure I'll be able to sleep tonight!! I'm thinking about doing 2 classes tomorrow just to try to get back on schedule! Thanks to all my supportive SP friends! emoticon

Hoping to be cleared for exercise this week!

I'm seeing the doc again on Tuesday and I'm really, REALLY hoping to be cleared for exercise this week! It was only suppose to be two weeks but then turned into three. I really hate sitting around and not going to zumba every week! I like to eat, so exercise keeps me in check. Sigh... wish me luck spark world!
