Its been a few days since I've written anything here so I thought I would do so this morning. My sister-in-law and I took advantage of a Ladies Retreat that her church was holding over Friday and Saturday. I had an opportunity last year to attend their retreat. What an amazing bunch of ladies! I really feel renewed and ready to face the upcoming weeks. Although it was a really spiritually filling experience, I don't have to tell you that it was not so "diet friendly". lol But I am very proud of the way I handled it. Since it wasn't one of those retreats that you actually "stayed" all day/all night, I ate before I went on Friday night, and of course I was able to have breakfast at home on Saturday morning. There were certainly the temptations there, but I can truly say I wasn't really even tempted. Lunch on Saturday was the biggest challenge... each table was served a big crock pot full of roast beef, carrots, and potatoes. I ate what I would judge to be 1/2 cup of carrots, a small potato, and a very small portion of the roast beef. I skipped the bread (gorgeous home-made rolls with butter) and had a bottle of water. The only treat I did partake of was a marshmallow on a stick smore. I just had to lol. It was very simply made... one large marshmallow dipped in chocolate and then tipped slightly on top with crushed graham crackers. I thought this would be really cute for children. Overall.. I was very proud (I passed up turtle cake LOL).
I am anxious to see how tomorrow's weigh in turns out. I really didn't journal much over the last two days. So, I am curious to see how this week will effect my weight loss if at all.
I am with my daughter today. We plan on making a yarn run to Columbus in a bit. I am always up for that LOL.
