Feb 19th 2010

So if you had read my updated profile you would know that I had joined weight watchers. Well today was weigh in day. I wasn't expecting to really lose anything, in fact I wouldn't have been surprised to have gained. I made some not so great choices over the past couple of weeks. no excuses just bad decisions on my part, not wanting to take the time to do it right. I did however do my workouts and that is probably what saved me. another 1.2 down! WOOO HOOO only 1.2 more to go to hit my first 10 loss! Go me GO ME!

Congrats! We should never beat ourselves up when we slip - just keep that goal ahead of us and plug along. I remember those weigh-in days at WW. I eventually became a life member, but couldn't go back now without losing a few pounds! It's a good program, and combined with SPARK, you should see those pounds and the whole body change rapidly. Keep us posted!

CASA 5k

Monday, May 18, 2009

Well, poo, my time went OVER what I did my first 5k in but....and there is a butt, it followed me the whole time lol...seriously. this time I really focused on slowing my pace so I could actually run more than I was walking in previous runs. (I will not call them races as I'm only racing myself) A bit of a downer that my time went WAY back up but I only have myself to blame on that. I haven't been training as hard as I can lately...just another reminder that we cannot slack if we intend to improve. So now that I've figured out I can slow my pace down and go farther I just need to start training and be able to not only keep running farther each time without walking but also increase my pace.

On another note, we got some good news today. My husband had been laid off of work. But today he went to the career center and they will pay for his law enforcement training WOOO HOOO. I am so happy for him, he has wanted to be in law enforcement for as long as I've known him. But life got in the way, I guess there is always a silver lining. As I've said before, everything happens for a reason.
This is great. I'm ecstatic! He will be SOOOO good at this career and best part of all NO MORE FACTORY WORK..don't get me wrong the pay is good but the hours and usually the working conditions SUCK.

OH yeah

I tried out Jillian's last tip from the BL last week..the one about the deck of cards..HOLY COW!. I did it last night but I changed it up a bit. I decided what exercise I was going to to then I pulled one card for the number of reps and a 2nd card for the number of sets..HOLY POOP..umm I cannot do 10 sets of 10 pushups...finished that off as jumping jacks..oh and 10 sets of 8 squats sucks a lot too! lol
That was a work out! I can only imagine only pulling 1 card and doing 52 different exercises..I was pooped!

two 5ks and a bottle of...water

Monday, April 27, 2009

Ok, so it's been a while since I've posted. I'm doing good on my eating, most of the time. need to scale back the evening eating. Back to tracking (funny how that keeps popping up)

But I have completed 2 5k runs.
the first one, at work Run with Jack I finished in 41.16 Which was less time than I thought it was going to take. I thought it would take me about 45 minutes to do. The 2nd one was just this past Saturday, the DawgDays 5k. Time improved to 38.52 WOO HOO. I think I can probably push myself just a bit more. I will have more training time for the next one. The next one that I'm going to do is for CASA (court appointed special advocates) in mid May.
