Digg Deep 100 day challenge - Day 2

Tracking done - I have 7 activity points left. I think I am going to spend them on a glass of wine and a piece of string cheese (need a little more dairy).

Exercise: 30 minutes - Bridal Body Burn - It had strength and cardio intervals and strength moves involved a lot of balance. Very challenging. I was dripping with sweat.

I had some bloating in the afternoon. I'm not entirely sure what set that off, but it seems to be better now.

All in all, it was a very good day. I have weigh in at Weight Watchers tomorrow. Hoping I see a loss (no matter how small).

Digg Deep 100 day challenge - Day 1

Starting weight: 149.0

Day 1 done in 100 day challenge.

Tracked everything in my Weight Watchers journal - met my 29 points plus points and used 2 activity points.

Exercise: 30 minutes on the elliptical

What went well today:
- Turned down Carvel Snickers ice cream cake that friend brought for dessert and had a couple much lower point Girl Scout cookies instead.
- Tracked everything. 8 glasses of water, 5 servings of freggies, 2 servings of dairy, and vitamins.

What could of went better:
- Haven't gotten much down time today and I'm tired.
- Would have liked to get a little bit more done around the house.
- Was frustrated with final BLC weigh-in.

What I'm going to do about it:
- Turn in early with a good book.
- Housework will wait until tomorrow.
- Do whatever it takes to turn the scale around!

On a side note - I am 3 months shy of my 42nd birthday and just picked up my first pair of glasses.

Week 11 - Straight Minutes Challenge

This weekend we will be joining 13 teams in a Straight Minutes Challenge!

Challenge runs THURSDAY - MONDAY

This weekend's challenge is called Simply Minutes and it's simple -- count your activity minutes! And to honor Thanksgiving Day on November 25 for most of BLC challengers we're combining the TNT and weekend challenge for a FIVE-DAY weekend challenge! How else will you earn points on Thanksgiving Day?

The challenge runs from THURSDAY to MONDAY!

FOUR of those days the MAXIMUM number of minutes you can count is 90 minutes! ONE day, of your choice, you may have no maximum minutes...so rack them up! So if you're planning a day with more than 90 minutes of activity (like a half marathon!), you can use your no-max day to count those minutes.

For this challenge we can count ANY activity that is beneficial to your health -- walking counts, gardening counts, washing your car counts. As long as you feel that the activity offered either a cardio, ST or stretching benefit, you can count it! Please, just be honest with yourself, as always!

Points are awarded at 1 point per minute, with a maximum of 90 points for four days and no maximum on the other. Please post on the tracking thread by Midnight EST Monday for your points to count for the team!


Thursday - 25 minutes
Friday - 35 minutes
Saturday - 20 minutes
Sunday - 69 minutes
Monday - 69 minutes

  


CICO Challenge - Week 9 BLC

To participate in this challenge, you will only need to do two things:
First, determine a calorie range that is healthy for you.
Second, track all of your food AND exercise for the duration of the challenge! Seems easy enough right, we should all be doing that anyway!

We recognize that everyone burns calories differently based on our metabolisms, BMI, gender and a variety of other factors. Please do NOT include your BMR(Base Metabolic Rate) in your daily CO (Calories Out) totals...for the purpose of this challenge we will be using ONLY calories out that you've burned through PLANNED exercise!

Points for CICO will be awarded as follows:

CI (Calories In):
5 pts for each day you stay within your calorie range!

CO (Calories Out):
1 pt for each day you burn between 100-499 calories
OR
2 pts for burning between 500-999 calories
OR
3 pts for burning 1000-1999
OR
4 pts for burning 2000+.

You can earn 1 pt bonus each day simply by posting your CICO in the Forest! Visibility =Accountability, so come share!
Maximum 10 points possible per day!

TRICK AND TREAT CHALLENGE

Challenge will run FRIDAY - MONDAY

"Trick" - Earn 20 points each day you do NOT consume Junk Food! **Make your own determination of what junk food is, but I think we all agree that soda, chips, candy, cookies, baked goodies etc. are in the junk category!
"Treat" - Earn 20 points each day you move your body with 45 minutes of planned exercise AND incorporate 3 full servings of Orange/Yellow Freggies in your day!
"Neighborhood" - Earn 10 pts daily for visiting the Forest AND throwing an Orange food at a Pixie page!

Max 50 challenge points daily!

Don't let the Devil on your shoulder steer you wrong or the Vampires ways suck the life out of your efforts this week! There's no need to let Halloween temptations turn the Forest into a "Spooky" place come weigh in day! Let's focus on casting some magic spells this week and use those brooms Wednesday to sweep a few pounds away and keep the Forest friendly!

Anyone who receives a PERFECT score for ALL 4 days of this challenge will display the Trick or Treat Goodie on their page! How many Pixies are going to come home with a Halloween bucket full of points?
