My First 5k

Sunday, September 26, 2010

I now consider myself an official runner. I ran my first 5k in 37:51. The one I did was all about hills. OUCH! Lol. It was tough, but I felt so amazing crossing that finish line. Im going to do absolutely no running this week, but Im going to get back to it next week. I want to do amazing at my next one in the spring.

5 Goals for the week. Week 1

Monday, August 16, 2010

I'm gonna start doing 5 goals per week...This is week 1

1. Drink all water every day.

2. Do all 3 scheduled runs + at least one long walk

3. Enjoy moving in to apartment!

4. Stay in calorie range, especially Saturday, when I start new-student orientation.

5. Get in some kind of workout, even if it's short Saturday.

the reason Saturday is going to be a challenge is I'm moving into my campus apartment. Which means new-student orientation, 2.5 hrs in a car driving, & not much time to myself, but the campus is huge so I'll get plenty of walking in.

Thursday, August 05, 2010

I finally made my evening run today. It was rough, but I feel that I did my best. These btw are not the best shorts to run in...lesson learned.

I'm glad you did the run. It is great that you kept going even though you were uncomfortable. I hope you have other shorts you can use today!

Vacation went very well. A quick list of things we did in San Antonio: River Center Mall, Riverwalk (including the boat tour), zoo, Wax Museum, ripley's believe it or not museum, alamo, el mercado, & some other stuff. I only gained .2 lbs, which is great considering we ate out almost every meal. I had a blast...hopefully i'll post some pics soon.
