Thanks for stopping by! Self-Love Month (January) is over but not the 31 Days of Self-Love Challenge—a pledge to do your best to do something loving for yourself for the next 31 days, to make YOU more aware of being kinder to YOU.

Every self-help book pushes building self-love, yet studies show it’s still elusive. With pressure to look and act perfect at an all time high, more people than ever don’t feel good enough to be loved. I want to change that dynamic!

Taking the pledge is meant to be a consciousness raiser. I hope that signing it will lead you to continue giving yourself lots of love. You can post your acts of self-love & read my 31 Days of Self-love posts HERE.

I’m not the thinnest girl on the block, nor the youngest or prettiest. but I do still love and accept me completely. I'm happy to see that the National Hurricane Service is tracking tropical storm Katia to give Anguilla a wide berth this weekend-
we'll probably get some surf and clouds.
Whew!

Those poor Bahamian people or Bermudans may get whacked again, though.

I am blissing out at Jasmine Villa on the beautiful island of Anguilla,
my second home, and it is the nicest August weather we have ever experienced-
in the 80's, breezy but dry.
They have had their rainiest summer ever and everything is lush and green but the mosquitoes are not bad at all (my big fear).
Almost everything is shut down for the season so we are eating in most meals,
fine by us,
as we have a spectacular kitchen and outside dining area.
We brought a cooler full of frozen steaks, chicken and shrimp, so we are good.
We celebrated DH's 62nd b-day here Thursday night,
and our 43th anniversary on Friday-
just a romantic quiet day and evening together in our little piece of paradise.

I walk for an hour or more first thing every morning, stopping somewhere near the end for 1/2 hour of yoga/stretching/meditating, then I spend at least an hour or two or three in the pool or the sea later doing aerobic stuff so I am wracking up the fitness minutes and don't feel one bit bad about eating a little bit more than usual.

Poor DD Mimi- she's a huge worry wart- Hurricane Irene was headed right for RI but now has weakened and moved to the west- going in to NYC as a tropical storm. So RI is just having a rainy windy day, but walmart, where she works, is all boarded up and they are actually closing at noon in case they lose power and/or the roads are bad.
Mimi is a wreck but she'll be fine- both her big brothers are nearby.

We got to skype with the grandkids yesterday- great fun- Lucy kept running off and bringing back toys and clothes to show us.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the last little bit of summer- best wishes to all of my teacher/school friends.
I know this is a very exhausting time of year for you.
