Needing Spring...

I'm ready to really get back into exercise, but this weather is throwing me off! Come on sun - let us get out on the trails and the rivers! I can only do so much treadmill!

Another month...

Another month gone by... yesterday I registered for my first 5k of the season, so I think that will really start to kick me back into gear. With the goofyness of the personal life, I'm hoping it will allow us to get back to working out, and have her push me just as hard as last spring.

3 months to get back down to last summer's weight.... ready, set, go.

It's been a full month since my last blog post. February was a difficult month. I had ups and downs with getting back in shape, but am happy to say I feel like I'm getting back to being able to run distances that will be good for the start of 5k season.

Hopefully March is much better than February.... in all regards!

  


Getting through...

Things aren't getting better personally, but they are in the gym! I've found my renewed drive to get to the gym, and to push through for more than just a quick run. I've managed to get a minimum of 45 minutes every day this week, and have been between 2.5 & 3.5 miles consistantly.

My diet has been a bit more regulated, especially after last weekend... choosing healthy options for lunch each day. The scale isn't dropping like it did last summer, but it will.

After my hiatus from long runs I've been struggling with shin and knee pain, but today I was able to go for a solid 1.5 miles, in less than 15 minutes...Hopefully by next week I'll be up to 2 miles.

Since last night's revalations, and decisions... I'm hoping I'll stay focused on getting to the gym, and will be able to avoid any akward encounters!
