Taking a day off

Thursday, July 10, 2014

It was a beautiful day here . I have taken the day off from doing have to's. Well mostly.
I did take our elder cat to the vet

and I have to pick DH up in town that that is it.
I weeded and took a nap because I wanted to and my body needed the nap.
Oh a have to was to pay the water bill and that turned into a nsv. The clerk at the town hall looked up when I came in and said Wow you have lost a whole person. That felt sooooo great.
And I said Thank you. Which is such an improvement as I tended to negate complements.
On the question of the day I think the mind set has to change from
"I will do this and when I get where I want I can stop:"
To "I need to make changes and modifications that I will be able to do beyond that point."
Those changes are unique to each of us. I read where some of you have a free day and I know that I undo too much hard work when I tried that. I also know that tracking nutrition is one of my lifelines.
Can't weight emoticon to hear others ideas on this.

Scrubbing floor and gardening

Tuesday, July 08, 2014

My exercise was to finish empting things in the office. Moving file cabinets, tall cabinet and desk. Sweeping and hand washing the floor. As a break out to the garden to pick dill, lemon balm, sage and pull the weeds that appeared since I was there a couple of days ago.Did a Coach Nichole video.
We had a mega fierce storm with winds, rain, lighting and thunder. You. could see sheets of rain blowing across the yard. Checked the garage and sweep the water that came in into the floor drain.
Can't go to bed till I clear some of the office stuff off of it. Still lots to do on that project. These are two local falls Taughannock and Buttermilk. I Guess you will have to turn your monitor sideways to see them correctly. emoticon

Fitness center remodeling

Monday, July 07, 2014

Today

is the first day of an almost month long remodeling at the fitness center.
Today and for the duration the locker rooms and pools are closed. Then everything is closed to re-carpet and what all. So I worked out today. They have made arrangements to use their other location and the y's pool. Both are on the other side of town.
Lot's of rain today so maybe weeding tomorrow.

fitness center for short workout

Sunday, July 06, 2014

Had less time today for working out. Chose to do all cardio. Started out with the rower for 10 min then on to the recumbent stepper for 45 and finished with the VMX rope pull for 5. Short but effective I hope
I am supposed to post a picture of me wearing red white and blue for the BLC 25 Trying to take a selfie did not work out well. lol

Decided to go to the garage and get mower info then saw a bushel basket that had last years apples rotting in it. Took it to the compost. Saw weeds in fire pit area. Started weeding. Realized it was too dark to see and came back in. Happily typing with dirt under my nails.

Great job on the exercise. When I saw the picture, I thought your waist looked small - so it is a good picture. emoticon

Wow to me, that is a lot of exercise. I have to stay home with my husband, who has Alzheimers, so I get my exercise my working out with Leslie Sansone on her 3 mile walk (45 minutes) DVD. Sometimes Andy sits with me and watches the girls on the video. LOL. He really likes one whom he calls Blondie.

You are also doing better than I am with your phone and the neat selfie. I have a flip phone and afraid to upgrade. I am 64 and afraid to try new things. How long have you been using a smart phone?

I hope that you realize all of your Spark goals.

Regards,
Melanie

Groceries and nap and

Saturday, July 05, 2014

Took my sister to town and while she was getting her things done, I did my grocery shopping. Worked on going through stuff that has build up in my office.
mostly today. Have a large stack that I skimmed and will take them to the fitness center and see if they would like to have them in the seating area by the check in desk. Nice to have something to read while waiting for someone. If not I will drop them off at the hospital as they can always use them. No sense in just recycling them. Organic gardening, crafts, as remodeling.
Also took a nap.

The nap sounds inviting, I might indulge today.
