Hi all!
I just had to sit down and get this written while I could. As y'all know, I'm both a Stephen King fan and a Ghost Hunters fan but what you may not know is that I'm also an avid Nascar fan. I especially root for Tony Stewart and have for the past 11 years now, ever since he started out in 1997. Today is the culmination of what they call "Daytona Week" (yes, it's in capitals! hehe). Today is the Daytona 500! The first of 36 races.
So now, not only do I look very forward to Wednesday nights and the Ghost Hunters, but I get to look forward to Sundays and sometimes Saturday nights. I do fitness-type things during commercials and I still watch what I eat so I think these interests are doubly healthy for me. Not only do I get healthier, I get my mind soothed!
I hope everybody who reads this has a wonderful Sunday and that it's a healthy one. Have a great day and thanks for reading this.
Much Love,
Sandy

Hi All!
I would have been remiss had I not blogged on this milestone for me. I've been plugging away now for a whole year, making changes IN my brain and getting healthier as each day passes. I'm into the water now and I know what size portions are. I'm also actually getting off the computer chair or couch to get fitness in every day.
But the biggest change in my life has been the confidence I've gained by being here. I didn't even know what a blog WAS, much less write one. I've always been the not shy type but this site has given me SO many wonderful friends, friends I'll always care about ~ even after I get to my goal.
Thank you for reading my blog today because you see, it's a special day for me today and I needed to share that with you fine folks! Have a wonderful day and keep up the great work, all of you!
Love,
Sandy

Hi All!
As usual, I'm sitting here at my 'puter, thinking weird thoughts. LOL But I was thinking, isn't it strange how you get into certain teams where you "feel at home" and you're a part of things but yet you may join another team and feel none of those welcoming feelings and you just don't meet anyone? I have 5 teams that I feel a part of, and a majority of my friends have come from those teams, although thanks to you who read my blogs, I've met yet more people I respect and consider friends! I'm very happy about that, and I love all of you who read these blogs.
I recently joined a team with a seasonal interest. I received no welcome from them but I posted a personality-plus introduction on their thread. I did get one comment on my page welcoming me to the team but since then, I have heard absolutely nothing out of any of them. Just for fun I checked their leaderboard and discovered that as new as I am, I am ranked #3 on their points. I thought "WELL, I'm as good as they are! Wonder what is wrong with them?" Then I realized that that team just isn't one of those friendly teams that I feel at home with. I plan on quitting them very soon, I can do my interest without them, ya know?
Anyway, I'm just blown away by the difference in the way I feel when I go to "my teams" as opposed to trying to join in on a team I'm not part of. Do any of you feel the same ~ sooooo welcomed and at home on some teams and not at all on others?
Thanks for reading my wanderings! I love you all for it!
Big Hug (and feeling right at home here!),
Sandy

Hi All!
Oh, my, we really had a storm go through last night and all through the daylight hours today! The first line of high wind came through about 6:30pm and I thought for sure we would be without power, something would blow down. But, although the wind was VERY strong for hours, I was able to watch my normal Wednesday Ghost Hunters! The "Ghost Hunter room" used to be a porch and the wind was so hard I could feel the room swaying. A very strange sensation for sure.
Today was a very windy day too and with the sun up you could see the immediate effects more readily. I don't know where it came from but the sand or soil was flying by in big clouds and the bushes were bowed to the ground. But somehow the power stayed on through it all and now that the sun has set, it's calm out. That was one heckuva storm!
Thanks for reading this, y'all, I appreciate it.
Much Love to All,
Sandy

I thought I had better write this before the power goes out! Here in southeastern Ohio the temperature is up around 67, which is too springlike for February. They're calling for "tropical storm" winds and on our cable system they're running all the counties under this tornado watch. Of course, my county is in that group, as is the county where my family lives. But they're in a city and I'm hoping they don't lose power.
But here in this dinky little town they're not so professional. LOL Two weeks ago, during a winter storm, we lost power here for over 2 days. A neighbor of ours told me an hour or so ago that part of the town already doesn't have power. He said it's near the substation that went down 2 weeks ago. Please God, let that be wrong! But it wouldn't surprise me at all.
So if you don't see me around or hear from me on the threads, it's cause I'm probably playing cards (in the daylight) or dominoes by candlelight. As soon as I can, I'll get back with what ended up happening. Thanks, every one of you who reads my blogs! I love y'all.
Hugs All Around!
Sandy
