Pain

Thursday, December 09, 2010

I was in so much pain yesterday and I finally had a day off so I went to the doctor. I had toendure hours of waiting and tests. I received 2 scripts. One for pain and one antibiotic. I took the first of them tonight. I am hoping to feel somewhat better tomorrow. emoticon

Pain

Wednesday, December 08, 2010

Even though i was having some pain this morning I decided to get dressed and go to work. As iwas getting ready the pain was worsening and by the time I was driving to work all I could think about was why I just didn't stay home. I couldn't stay until 4pm as I was scheduled to. I tried my best but left at 3pm. emoticon

I am back in a lot of pain again. I insist on going to work thnking I will work it out, but all it seems to be doing is making it worse. I don'ty know what to do. I really need the money. But everytime it seems to feel better by the time the work day is done I am hurting so bad. emoticon

    PS

I just recently worked on a vision collage w/local Spark Team and it helped me make a positive shift in my outlook on achieving my health goals; so you might want to work on your own personal vision collage that includes positive pain-free inspiring quotes, and photos, that you can look at and meditate on when pain starts coming on.

I'm also a great fan of soaking in hot tub/bath w/peppermint or sage or other essential oils known for reducing joint inflammation; Bubble baths are also a fun way to pamper myself and distract me from joint pain for a few minutes at least.

Chronic pain sucks so you are in my prayers & meditation.

As I get older it's been my experience that pain doesn't just go away anymore, and "if I keep doing what I've been doing I keep getting what I'm getting". Something needs to change, so I encourage you to explore and research chronic pain issues and treatments that you might find changes that can help alleviate your pain somewhat.

There are some spark teams that deal w/chronic pain:
- "Chronic Pain Warriors: We Will Win the Weight War"
- "Dealing with Chronic Pain"

I heard that eliminating refined sugars and flours from your diet can help minimize joint/muscle inflammation and the pain that accompanies it. I know that diet changes like that may be drastic, but might be worth checking out for 2-4 week period. Just a thought.

I'm sorry to hear that, pain is not a good sign. Please listen to your body and be good to it--it is the only one you'll ever have.

It's probably 'cos a lot of people resent this season of enforced good will. I mean, if they can't stand the sight of someone, it's got to be a huge stress to have to pretend they're ok for the next 4 weeks or so!

I think the stress is highest at this time of year and it is really sad because it should be the happiest time instead, we all try too hard to be perfect and that is just not possible, relax and take each day as it comes and do your best that is all anyone can ask. emoticon emoticon
