We're heading for the record of the hottest July.

We could start a commune . . . it's going to be in the hundred and teens here, according to the heat index, for the rest of the week. But not Alaska . . . unless Mama Grizzly the Ignorant moves out first!

YOU SEEM VERY DISCONTENTED MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY CHANGING YOUR BLOG SUBJECT FOR A MORE POSITIVE OUTLOOK. Losing wt is hard enough with a positive outlook but with a negative one I would dare to say almost impossible. I understand that with your health issues this is a very difficult time of the year for you . What can we do to assist you to have a more positive outlook? If affording an air conditioner is a problem have you thought about trying to spend a few hours a day using public buildings such as Library, or a museum, in order to get some relief from the oppressive heat? emoticon

Having the fans is better than hot, humid dead air. Think cool thoughts. emoticon

It finally rained and that helped some. But I am greedy and want so much more rain. emoticon

I agree we need more rain where I live too. Not that I don't like the beach weather but the grass is getting a little brown around here and there have been some brush fires in my area.

Better move to the RAIN FOREST because with all this Global warming it is doubtful that there will be much rain in the future! Sorry for your discomfort! Our temp was only 112 today and here I sit at work with a blanket around my shoulders! emoticon

When is this going to end? The temps are down but the humidity is rising. It still is making me feel sick. emoticon

Well imagine having a summer cold.....watery eyes, sneezing, chest congested, with headache in Chicago's humidity and hot weather earlier this week. Today it is cool, mid 80's and breezy. I continue to cough but now I can breath!!! I drank tea, took herbal cough drops, doubled up on my vitamin C, tossed and turned at night. I was miserable and freaked out because when I coughed it sounded like a 'dog bark'.

I'm ready for a breakk from the humidity as well! I am not a morning person and the only time it is cool enough to get in a great workout is early in the morning!

I can relate to the heat situation. This morning when I left home to go to work at 5:00 a.m. it was already 84 degrees. Granted it didn't get much higher than that, but our humidity makes it seems so much hotter.

I agree. It totally zaps my energy. Here is to hoping for at least lower humidity.
