Another Day

Friday, February 12, 2010

I don't know how to shake this funk I have been in for quite some time. I have a toothache and severe pains in my arm due to a torn rotator cuff injury that I had in 1993 and never had surgery on. I just put up with it. But sometime with my job it really gets aggravated and hurts more than ever. emoticon

Take care of yourself. Go to the doctor and have that shoulder looked at. Perhaps you could benefit from some Physical Therapy. Maybe a Dr. could prescribe an anti-inflammatory medication that would help you feel better. While you are at it, go to the dentist and get your teeth taken care of. You should not put up with pain when there are available solutions to these problems. Be proactive... GO TO THE DOCTOR AND TO THE DENTIST!!! Take care of yourself. If you don't do that, who do you think will? emoticon emoticon emoticon

Pain will definitely take you out of the game, so hope you get that taken care of soon, once you get that controlled, you'll be able to focus and feel better!

It sounds like a dentist and a doctor visit is in order. I was having trouble with shoulder pain and went to my Dr. today. He thinks it is a rotator cuff injury and has scheduled an MRI for Monday. I sympathize with your pain. Isn't it amazing how such small parts make all the rest of the body stop and pay attention? I hope you can get help soon. Pain is not enjoyable.

Think positive, read, relax take aspirn or advil, lots of fluids. Take one day at a time. Maybe a tiny walk, a hot bath or shower.

Today was a pretty decent day at work with the exception of being freezing cold but thanks to all the encouraging e-mails I received from spark people I was able to keep in a pretty good mood. emoticon

Glad to hear that you had a pretty decent day! Go have a cup of tea and put your feet up for a while. You work hard and deserve a break occasionally!

I haven't posted in a while and I kind of miss it. Things are not much better than when I left off. I have been really trying to get myself out of this rut I have been in,but it seems useless. I try everything that I could without seeing a doctor because I don't have any nedical insurance and cannot afford to pay for any doctor visit or prescriptions so I just try any thing that I hear or read about. emoticon

Blogging and receiving feed back can help you hold on as you go through a tough time. I hope you find a way to get the help that you need to get out of your slump. I won't waste by fingers on places to look because I suspect that you might know those places in your community than I do. I just know the basics and the fact that even with my county being pretty good in mental health services, it is still hard to find services when you don't have insurance and not much money.

I had notified SP tech yesterday, there were several different things that were not being received. Some of the areas are working now. They are working on it and it was thought that it would be corrected by now, As of my writing, it doesn't appear to be corrected. Hang in there, It will be done.

I know that every one of my blog entries is very negative and sad. I am very depressed and feel totally down all the time. I try to be up and feel better about life but it doesnt seem to work well. I have been single for many years(which is my choice) and dont really do very much except work. I dont get much sleep(I never was a sleeper all my life). I do not have any interests or goals to look forward to, I live a very boring life. So I dont think I am going to blog anymore. Thanks for listening t o me vent. emoticon

I hope you won't stop blogging. Have you seen a doctor about your depression? There are also some really good books, such as The Feeling Good Handbook, by David Burns that can do wonders for helping you work out the negative stuff.

Here's hoping we'll all feel better soon!

You commented on my blog (Thanks for that!) & I really related to what you said so I thought I'd come over & check you out. We seem to have a lot in common except I'm the forever optimist & keep expecting tomorrow to be different.

I'm such a terrible procrastinator that it took me 8 months just to get to day 2 here at SparkPeople! I also spent all my time working and sleep 4 hrs nightly & never feel motivated to do the people thing.

Just wanted to comment that you sure stuck to your guns & haven't even had a "cheat" blog since you quit - but yet you're still participating in others. You know... even if nothing different ever happens in your life, some of us might still like to know your thoughts & feelings. How about once weekly instead of daily? emoticon

You should make your blog about little things you accomplish each day and then when you look back at it, you will see that life isn't so bad. I have been single for many years and have to make myself choose things to look forward to. I am lucky enough to have a son that keeps my spirits up, and you should find a walking partner or exercise partner and see what interests they have. There are all kinds of little inexpensive things you can do to make life interesting and fun. Go to the mall and sit and watch people. Then you can blog about that, but don't cut us off.

Hi, I just wanted to say that like you, I've been a little depressed lately. We moved to a new place a couple of months ago and I have been down in the dumps ever since. But, I decided I'm going to get out of my depression. You can do the same. We just have to set our minds to it. You may have received this email the other day from SP. Here is a link to the PDF file, so I hope you can see it. It's a november calendar called "30 days to greater happiness". There's some very good advice on each day. I hope it'll help you. Please don't quit blogging! Blogging will help you talk things through and hopefully get out of the funk you're in! Also do private journaling at home. That's one of the things mentioned on the calendar, too. I hope this helps. Here is the link. http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource
/calendar_2007-11.pdf You'll probably need to copy and past it. Hope you feel better soon!

Sometimes we all have periods of being our own worst critics. DO NOT STOP BLOGGING!!!! That would be terrible. Look up not down. You can do it. As FLUTTERBUGCE find a group that you can share the same interests. Give it a try and let us know how you are doing. Love yourself and the rest will follow. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Please don't stop writing your blogs! Venting is good for you. Is there a church group or civic group that you could join and get involved in? Maybe you can take up a hobby and join a group of other people who share the same hobby. Socializing has a way of boosting your mood and raising your spirits. Also, getting exercise does the same thing. Never give up on yourself. You are your own biggest cheerleader. You are worth the effort it takes to get healthy.
