Hang in there. Worrying about it will only lower your resistance.

As far as the rain goes, that's exactly what it will do - go. It's raining here in Newton, too. I don't mind it. We need it. It's a nice light rain, too.

Have you tried praying while you are lying in bed? I'm not sure why but I find that by focusing my mind on the Lord's will for myself and others then I tend to sleep better. Just me though. Without my CPAP machine I was lost and didn't matter how much I prayed I never slept deeply enough to feel rested the next day. Sure hope you can find the answers you need.

Have you tried reading before bed? Don't go into bed until you are ready for sleep. Try to limit any juice/caffine in the evening. I can't exercise at night because it keeps me awake when I should be sleeping. You might want to try switching the time you do your workout.

I sympathise with you, I hardly get any sleep and when I do fall asleep I don't stay asleep and find it hard to go back into the sleep mode. I have had sleep studies but they didn't show much. I have a hyper-active mind that doesn't shut off. I have tried a variety of things to help me but nothing seems to work.

Please let me know if you find an answer. Take care xx

I just get up when I wake up which is never later than 7.30 but can be as early as 3.30 and go to bed when I am tired the earliest being about 9.30pm.

    I share your problem.

Have you been tested for Sleep Apnea? I have it & you can't sleep well. I'm going to get a C-PAP machine (I hope).

Do you have pain? Pain can sometimes (probably most of the time) interfere with your sleep.

I hope that you find a solution.

Getting too little sleep can be a contributor to anxiety and depression. Are you having trouble falling asleep or is it staying asleep? Perhaps try doing something to relax before going to bed. Deep breathing technicques can be helpful, a hot bath, reading, listening to soft music. Hope you get the good night's sleep that you need.

You really need to see your doctor. Sleep and depression are so closely connected. I have sleep apnea and need a cpap machine to help me sleep deeply at night. I was feeling tired all of the time and getting depressed. Just needed a month of sleeping deeply every night to get through that depressing time. See you doctor and ask to have a sleep study done as well as other tests for depression. It could be just a simple thing as a lack of a specific vitamin. Take care of yourself.

Not to be the bad guy in this, but .. maybe it is time to talk with the doctor about it. your lack of sleep could be causing the depression, but there could also be an underlying reason. take the time and talk with the doctor.

or if you don't want to do that, try the mediation cd or a relaxation one just before going to bed. try and clear your mind of everything, see if that will help you get some sleep.

I am thinking and praying for you!!!

I too suffered from depression and yes, it makes you tired and want to sleep. Try to stay online and talk to some of the people here to motivate you. It took me until now to realize what was bothering me all these years, and that's was one of the reason I kept a lot of the weight on. Take care of yourself first.
The best to you!

You hang in there and find at least $10 and buy a really good relaxation cd and listen to it in the evenings and try to get some sleep. The more you practice, it will come, I promise you!! I also have a hard time with sleep as my mind is going a million miles an hour and I can't seem to turn it off. Then, I am so exhausted, I just go out and don't wake up for a while, anyway. I don't even know that I went to sleep--how funny is that but my royal hubby lets me know all the details---where my leg was, how my arms were, if my mouth was open, what noises might have come out of it---on and on and on---like I want to know!! LOL
If you cannot afford any meditation cds, you let me know and I will see what I can do to help you. I may be able to make some for you but would need an address, etc. You just let me know, okay?
Peace and blessings,
Vicki

Oh no, how sad---not just for you but for your loved one that went to so much trouble to show you just a little bit of happiness and a whole lot of love. I feel your pain, but sometimes, at times like this, we need to go outside the box and let others be happy for us---especially, when we can't do it ourselves!!
Let us know what it is about---what is bothering you so much---is it the birthdate or something else in your life? Talk it out with someone here---it really helps and that is what Spark is all about---helping others!! We have all been there, done that, believe me!!
Peace and blessings,
Vicki
