I really love oatmeal and eat it several times a week for breakfast. When I was a kid, I always ate it with sugar and milk. When I first started getting serious about changing my eating habits, I began to eat organic oatmeal sweetened with artificial sweetener (yes, it is a contradiction of which I am full of many) or occasionally with organic honey or organic maple syrup and I recommend both of them highly for their great flavor.. Now I eat it with nothing in it and am crazy about it. Tastes do change. Maybe you'll like it someday.
I've never had a problem liking healthy foods. I love to eat pretty much anything. The problem for me is the amount I eat. The recommended serving sizes always seem to me to be not big enough to satisfy a mosquito.

I love oatmeal, I have fond memories eating it with my Nana. Try making it with milk instead of water. I used the old fashion oats and it takes 5 minutes on the stove, I stir it so it becomes creamy and then let it sit while I have my first cup of coffee, Adding cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice mix will give it a kick.
But if you really don't like it, try something else. You'll find foods that you like that are good for you.
I LOVE oatmeal and eat it most days. I USED to hate it. It is a case of finding a way that you like. In my case it is made REALLY THICK, then thinned down to a consistancy I like with Calcium enriched Low Fat Soy Milk (added benefit of being cholesterol free) then sprinkle a little brown sugar over it, then drizzle a bit more soy milk over it.
