I "Accidently" Worked Out 4 times on Yesterday

So yesterday was pretty much a normal day in terms of things accomplished. However, I managed to fit in 4 workouts. Not I am not that crazy, some of it was definitely unintentional. So first, for one reason or another I found myself taking the half mile trek to my vehicle. Usually, this is once a day or two and from work, but it ended up being 3 plus occasions.

During my lunch hour, I decided to run some sprints with a coworker, this was purposeful. emoticon Nice short workout!

Once at home, my husband and I did our Insanity workout. Again on purpose emoticon

Well, following that we took the kids on a bike ride, while we intended to walk with them, but ended up jogging with them to keep up for nearly a mile. Oh well alls well that ends well.

I did have to supplement with food after this extravaganza, cause not only was I beat, but I was HUNGRY!

Overall, last week was a success. I exceeded my goal minutes for activity. I have also lost over 5 lbs and tracked everything for the most part. I am ready to head into this week with much enthusiasm.

With goals to reach, I need to stay focused! emoticon

OMG! Cardio Recovery Means Muscle Work

So yesterday was my day four of the infamous insanity. And I thought going in yay, cardio recovery. Pffft! What they really don't say is muscle work, and I mean a lot of muscle work is involved. Nothing makes me sorer than holding a position for long periods (NMT 30 seconds) and then pulsing in the positive. Gosh! Really though it wasn't that bad, I am just complaining because I am working hard. I really feel great though my energy level is through the roof.

And to make it all worth it, I am already seeing some amazing results. My goal is to get through the entire program without missing days. And I know I can do it, even if traveling for business I can take it with me.

Soreness is creeping in!

I am sooooo sore today. Insanity is kicking my butt (into shape that is). I felt like a MJ song last night as I pushed through day 3's workout "Don't stop til you get enough"

Insanity for the Insane!

Okay, so I have searched high and low in my house and pooled all my resourses that I have just lying around. My goal to have a variety of exercise options. What I came up with was Zumba, CrossFit, p90X, aerobic step, treadmill other workout DVD's and equipment. Oh and let us not forget Beachbody Insanity. So I am ready! I think?

After a short conversation with the DH, he says OOOOOOOO, let's do the whole Insanity program, the entire program of 60 days. I say great honey sounds awesome, let's do it. (in my mind I am thinking he is going to forget about it it 30 min and I will be safe), Ha, he was looking for the DVD's last night. I think I am in trouble now.

So Today will be our first day, the infamous fit test. If I survive, I will let you know know how it went...

    Well Well Well. It is day two of the insanity challenge and the workout is done. WOOHOO. I am spent but here. I am so excited. The DH wasn't feeling well so he was sent to bed with a kiss on the forehead and encouragement to get back in the game tomorrow. But as for me I had to keep moving forward. emoticon

I am determined to get where I need to be and to do it with much effort. I am no half stepper is any other aspect of my life, why should my workout be that way? It should not.

    emoticon All right, so I did my usual workout of jogging for an hour during my lunch break. Then came home cleaned, and did the fit test with my DH. INSANE, yes. I survived to tell the tale, though not standing up. We will definitely see how this goes, especially because I need to keep running at least 3x per week to shorten my run time.

My goals currently are:
Complete 60 day Insanity Challenge
Shave minutes off my run time (2mile)
Lose 27+ lbs

In terms of nutrition, I am paleo, so I eat healthy, and listen to my body. If it wants more food to keep it going, I give it more. emoticon

Now for rest and recuperation...

    Quite a few choices you came up with and to start the Insanity program, well...GOOD FOR YOU!!! I have not done it myself but have heard some really good things about it.
