So, today was the first day I got to spend with my son since he came home on Sunday. He wanted to go out to lunch. Oy, out to lunch? Couldn't deny him that. He wanted to go to the sprint store, so we figured we'd go somewhere near there. Well, there was Rubio's. I told him, "Wait a sec. Have to check out what I could eat." I went on Dottie's Weight Loss Zone and tried to see what was low in points. Not much. I could have a HealthMex Chicken Salad or taco. Got to Rubio's and they didn't have any HealthMex salad. So, it was the chicken taco with a side salad, no dressing, of course. I was so proud of myself. 4 points for the whole thing. Could you believe that?
After the Sprint store, we had time to waste, so we went for coffee and to REI. As we were getting back into the car, I got a call from my daughter's school. She's back in the office again with a stomach ache. This is the 2nd day in a row. Don't know what to do with her. She complains her stomach hurts, but she seems absolutely fine. Any one have any suggestions? I feel like I'm being a mean mom, but, she can't stay home. I think her teacher is getting a bit upset, too.

Today, I went to weight watchers. Tuesday's are my official weigh in days. Happy? Nope. Ecstatic? you betcha. I lost 2 lbs this week. That's a total of 4.8 lbs. Hey, maybe I'll be out of the 20's sooner rather than later. I can start to picture myself in my bikini. Who knows, maybe I'll even post a picture in the summer. I'm feeling so motivated. I want to do this and keep it off.
I had blogged on Sunday that I was helping my daughter start and finish her report on yellow jackets. At 9:20, we were done. However, my poor baby woke up in the middle of the night not feeling well. But, I was a good mom and brought in her report Monday morning and picked up her homework for the week. I was stuck at home all day yesterday, except to go grocery shopping. Lucky me. And even with that, I stayed within my points. It was hard, but I managed. It's hard being stuck at home. Too many temptations.
Here's a picture of my little princess. She was supposed to wear this on Mother's Day but it was way too cold. I figured I'd post it instead.
Until next time-

My day started off with a wonderful 2 hour hike with my gym buddies. Came home and helped my husband clean up in the garage a bit. Then, off to my nephew's t-ball game. Oh how cute they are. He had a smile on his face each time we cheered for him when he was batting. Then, off to lunch with the family. The restaurant didn't have a menu on-line so I couldn't figure out what I wanted. My hubby and I shared a Greek salad and seared ahi tuna panini. Very good. After that, I was off to USC to move my son back home. That was a nice present. My husband made dinner, seafood gumbo, which I had a little of. Now, I'm helping my daughter with her report on yellow jackets which is due tomorrow. Not her fault. We had a busy week. And hey, she's only in first grade.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Ok, this is my third time trying to type and post this blog. Am I not supposed to? I had such a great week and this is the first time I am able to post. Unlike last week, I was excited to go to weight watchers and weigh in. I lost 1.2 lbs. and didn't have to pay. I'm in the 20's again. Yeah me!! That night (tuesday), my husband and I went to a charity dinner, United Friends of the Children (for Foster Care). We were sitting at table 1 which was smack in front. Well, Seal performed and I was able to reach out and touch him. That's how close I was. It was amazing. However, not as amazing as how well I did at dinner. No bread or wine. Salad with a drizzle of dressing, 1/2 of the meat, vegies and some potatoes. That's right everyone, no dessert. I said, "No thank you". On the way home, I ate my mini ww bar. Wednesday night was the Dodger game. Free food: 2 small slices of carved turkey, lots of grilled vegies, some salad, and about 8 peanut M&M's. On the way home, a mini ww bar. Proud of myself, you betcha. Friday night, my daughter's girl scout troop had a backyard campout. The girls are 6-7. I had to be there b/c I'm one of the leaders. Oy, what a night. Not much sleep, but the girls had a blast. My friend and I brought our 1 point hot dogs and 2 point buns. I did eat some chips and had about 4 marshmellows. Other then that, I did eat a lot of watermellon.
saturday morning, I wasn't going to eat at the campout b/c i wanted to go home and weight myself. Couldn't wait. I was starving. I had a 1/2 a bagel and seedless (it wasn't) tangerine. Went home and saw that I was down 1.5 lbs. How did that happen???
Well, this was the day I was looking forward to the whole week. I was meeting other SparkPeople!! How exciting is that?? My friend Pagona picked me up and I got to meet Renee first. We got to shmooze in the car. Then, we got to the restaurant and there is Judy, McKenzie, Diedre and Angela. How great it was to put faces to names and see everyone. We sat and chatted for over 2 hours. It was so much fun. Everyone told about their lives, what they do, where they've been, etc. We all bonded so much. We're even talking about doing some 5K, 10K, 1/2 marathons and whole marathons together. How great is that!!! Hopefully, we're going to get together soon and have some more fun. Diedre's boyfriend, John, took pictures for us. You should have seen us hotties posing outside. We were blocking the walkway.
And, here's to our lovely photographer:
Can't wait to our next outing!!
