Ok, so I was supposed to weigh in on Tuesday morning. My friend forgot about an appointment and she couldn't go. Well, I wasn't feeling it and I didn't want to go by myself, so I didn't. I know, I know, that's when I should have gone. But, I didn't. I then found out a few days later that another friend was there. I should have gone. Well, my regular partner and I decided that we're sticking to it and we're going on Tuesday morning. I'm hoping for good things. I'm going for a blood test after the meeting (it's a fasting one), so that'll be perfect.
Today, we went to a picnic for my husband's company. One of the employees (who I know well) told me that she just joined WW last week (they have a meeting at the office). It was nice to have someone there and help keep each other on track. She's look amazing, but she wants to loose 7 lbs. I know how she feels, so I said nothing. We each had the same lunch: chicken breast and salad. That was it. No bread, no macaroni salad, no potato salad.
After the picnic, my husband had to stop off at an amazing chocolate store. They have gellato and chocolates. Didn't get any gelato, but I did have my husband get me one piece of chocolate. Haven't eaten it yet, but i will. After that, we made another stop, and ended up at Suzie's Cakes. Oh my gosh! Do they have yummy stuff. Didn't get anything. Poppped into Coffee Bean and got my decaf sugar free mocha blended extreme. 3 points for a large. I thought I deserved it after not having all that other stuff.
Now, I'm waiting to have dinner (starving!!). Steak, pasta, and salad. I'll have some steak and salad, no pasta. And, of course, I'll have my little piece of chocolate: some carrot cake thing. Looked really good. Hopefully, it'll be worth it. Their stuff usually is.

Ok, so I went to my WW meeting yesterday. I was a bit scared to weigh in because I ate 2 dinners out this weekend. My friend and I dropped our kids off at school and off we went, walking to our meeting. It's only a 15 minute walk, so we went the round-about way. On the way, we stopped in at Starbuck's and got our coffee to go. Ok, weigh in time. I stood on the scale and the leader says, "you stayed the same." I was ok with that. As long as I didn't gain, I was ok with that. I have .6 to go so that I don't have to pay for my meetings any more. After that, I don't ever want to pay again. After the meeting was over, my friend and I hiked it back to school fast because I totally forgot that I had an appointment at 11:00am.
Later in the day, I mapped out our route and we ended up walking 3.89 miles and we did that in an hour. Not too bad. Got my cardio in, went to my meeting, It was all good. Now, my goal is to loose that .6 by next week.

First, I have to start off this blog with a thank you to everyone reading and leaving me great comments and encouragement. It's great to have wonderful friends, even if you don't know them.
Now, I have to say that I'm feeling awful because a good friend of mine left to China to today and I totally forgot to call her yesterday because my day was so hectic. I didn't have a minute to breathe. I'm hoping she has email so I can send her a message to tell her how sorry I am and how much I'll miss her. (Ok, I miss her all the time b/c she doesn't live 5 minutes away any more.)
Last nights dinner was soooooo good!! Went to Spago's in Beverly Hills. Company was great, atmosphere was beautiful and the food was delicious. I think I did pretty good. My husband and I each ordered an appetizer and main dish and shared each one. The only thing I totally finished was the beat salad and there wasn't alot of it. For dessert, my husband wanted the lemon meringue tart and I think, I had one bite of the whole thing. Thanks dear husband for taking care of that for me!! The one bite was really good and enough. Wow, did I actually type that?!
Two parties to go to today, but I'm feeling ok about them. Didn't work out this morning b/c my back is hurting, but either later or tomorrow, I'll make it up.

Ok, so dinner was good last night. Started off with an artichoke, hearts of palm salad w arugala and shaved parmesean. Very easy on the dressing. It was good. For my main course, i chose the ciopino (no idea how to spell it, it's fish soup: shrimp, calamari, scallop). No one had dessert, so that was good. Oh, and I had a small roll. I was so proud.
Today, I was out with my daughter's troop for girl scouts. Brought my own lunch, so I felt good. Did come home and eat a little bit of banana bread, but, I'm ok. Drinking my coffee as I type this. Keeping my mind off of food! I did get a nice surprise though. My son ended up coming home with us b/c he has a big test he needs to study for and wants to do it at home. So, I get him until Monday when I take him back.
I will blog tomorrow about my dinner tonight. Oy, wish me luck with this one. We're going out with friends who are foodies, so who knows what we'll end up having: tasting menu, lots of different dishes? I'll be strong!!

Totally forgot to add: I did wake up this morning and work out. I was on the treadmill, running, which I haven't done in awhile and I was coming up on 2 1/2 miles, feeling great and I said to myself, "Oh heck, just do 3 miles." Right then and there, the treadmill slowed down to cool down b/c I forgot to change the time setting. By then, I was all messed up and finished with the cool down. I will try again. I'm starting to feel it!!

I was sitting here and thinking about the upcoming weekend. Oy! It's exhausting. Tonight, we are going out with friends for dinner. I'm looking forward to the going out part, but, the eating part, it's so hard. Saturday, I have to workout at home (no spin class for me) and then, I'm off the IMAX and Science Center with my daughter's Daisy Girl Scout troop. Hopefully, my big boy will pop on over from college (it's across the street, USC) and visit us while we're having our lunch. Saturday night, out to a very nice DINNER with friends. More eating. ARG! Sunday, not one, but two birthday parties. And, I have to weigh in Tuesday morning? Help me, please!!
