Wow...October 25th 2011! Well here I am again....finding myself going back to the wonderful friends on sparkpeople! I am amazed at all the wonderful tools that are added onto the site.....and it's all FREE! It's hard to get back into all the tracking....but NO MORE EXCUSES! Here I go....another part of my longggg journey trying to achieve my weight loss goals!

Wow! I have "fallen" off the wagon so many times, I can't believe it hasen't left me behind yet! This has been a BATTLE! I had almost given up again, when my husband decided that he wanted to do the South Beach diet. I had told myself that I would not spend any more money on any diet books or programs (why I came to Sparks!) but my husband came home with the book, so a agreed to read it, and give it a try. I have done Atkins before, so was kind of familier with the low carb thing, funny, how you can really get tired of meat! The South Beach diet is less strict, but the first 2 weeks, your trying to cut out sugar and processed flour, really, all the stuff we should limit anyway. It's going pretty well, I am into my second week to day. I lost about 5#'s the first week, even though I slipped up some. Today I had a really bad craving for sweets, so I poped a few chocolate candies, that seem to help. Hope this goes well!


Finally, my first 10#' gone! On to the next 10#'s!

Wow, This has been hard! I can't say that I am very good at exercising, eating right, and drinking my water, but I AM trying, and i am NOT giving up! I found a great friend to support my efforts, and that is fellow Sparks people Kim, on the Girls of God web site. Kim is struggling like me, but I find her encourgement invaluable! Thanks Kim! I now am working on losing my 2nd 10#'s. I also just began a new Job at Walmart On January 30th, 2007, which cuts down on my time spent on the Sparks web site. I do think it helps me not eat so much. When I am working, I can't eat!!!

Well today is January 1st, 2007. This diet thing is soooo hard! today I started off with a bang. I walked and danced for 1hour. I try and change things up by walking on the treadmill for a while and than dancing around and doing arobics of some sort. Christmas was tough, but I made it through with minimal damage. December 13th I turned 48 and then the celebrating keeps on comming till New Years day! I think because I did pretty good at my exercising. I am doing cardio 5-6 days a week and than lifting 2 days a week. For Christmas I asked for a medicine ball to add to my exercise equipment. It's fun to try new things. I have a nice little gym in my basement and best of all its FREE! My goal is still to lose that first 10#'s and to keep up the exercise. Also, I want to make sure to read my bible & pray 5-6 days a week to keep me focused on God.

my first week has been pretty good. I lost 5#'s which I know is probably water. First week usually goes the best. I have been searcing the spark web pages all week to get ideas, support and have found it to be very helpful. Thank-you to my new online friends for your great tips and for posting comments.
