away for awhile

Been away for awhile, letting things slip, getting discouraged. I have decided though that I worked too hard for too long to go back to where I was. I have gained back about six of the nearly thirty I lost but I won't let it become more. I know what I need to do, I know it won't be easy, but I know I can do it! My health and well being are too important to play with! So today I start again. Exercising every day and eating right! I can do it!

    Welcome back, we missed you. Glad you caught yourself at 6 pounds and not 25!! It is so frustrating to lose the same pounds over and over, yet we all do it !!

  Welcome back. You have the right mind set, "YOU CAN DO IT". I'm glad you caught yourself before you gain all of the weight back. It very easy to slip, but remember you gain strength every time you slip up. You are human and will make mistakes, just don't beat yourself up over them.

My scale has been stuck at the same weight for over a month! I am frustrated but not giving up! I read about the Alternate Day Diet in Woman's World a couple weeks ago and have decided to try it! Today is my first down day and I am weighing in at 230. I am going to do this for a week and see what my results are and how I feel! I am praying for this to be the way for me!

    A week isn't enough time to really get the feel for it. If you tried another diet, could you tell if it was working in a week? You're body won't get used to eating less in just a week. I encourage you to give it at least two weeks. I know this works and once you get used to it, you won't ever want to go back to week's of depriving yourself..I wish you success.. emoticon
You should lose between 1-6 lbs tomorrow if you keep your calories in the down day range. We can help, dieting is not easy but this is the easiest way I've found.

Don't know what the scale will say on my birthday but I do know this. Last year I did very little in the way of exercise, was always tired, and just felt blah. Now, I just got done four miles with Leslie Sansone and I feel better than I have in years! The scale isn't the only measure of success!

I decided yesterday and after my mini temper tantrum, that I need to go back to weighing monthly and focusing more on the positive changes I am making daily. That way the scale won't be such a big focus! Heck, last year at this time the most exercise I got was walking to the fridge and back! Today I just finished four miles with Leslie Sansone! Big improvement in my book. Plus loads more energy and just a better all around outlook! Today is another day!

    great attitude! i am on the slim fast group. i have been absent all summer. with my kids out of school just haven't been around much. plus i am now addicted to facebook as much as i use to be addicted to this site LOL. hope to be back on more and see u around! Holly

Got on the scale this morning and found it only down a pound from last week! Stuck to the plan, exercised every day. Just can't seem to get the scale to move any quicker. Drank my water. Need to track my calories more closely maybe. I don't know. But a pound down is better than nothing and better than a pound up! Patience is something I need to remind myself to have.

    A lb down is GREAT! Keep up the great work and you will reach your goal! I am going a lb down sounds awesome! I know its tough to see because we have to work so hard for it...but maybe you lost an inch somewhere! :)

    Remember the scale only tells you your weight at that moment and doesn't measure muscle gain vs fat loss, water weight, etc. 1 pound a week is still a good loss. I know it's difficult when people are seeing 3-4-5 pound losses, but I had to tell myself all this when I gained a pound last week. Keep it up and notice little things, like how your clothes fit, whether you can exercise longer/harder, if it's easier to go up the steps, etc. These are truer measures of your health improving than the number on the scale! You can do this!
