Spark points!

Monday, December 11, 2006

Just got weighed and I've stayed the same but I'm pleased with that as I had a difficult week health wise and to top the lot I've just logged in and been awarded 25 sparkpoints. 25! yes 25.! I sound so stupid but I've never had more than three before. I know they don't mean anything but it's psychological. Well, it's made me feel good.
I seem to be on track for Christmas, the vibes are positive at the moment though there are a couple of work get togethers coming up and they're both buffets. We go straight from work too so I can't eat before hand.
I'll do my best, that's all anyone can do.

What a surprise

Tuesday, November 28, 2006

In the office at work is a corner I can't get into. It's sandwiched between a photocopier machine and a cupboard and if ever I want to do anything there I have to reach over but today, imagine my surprise when I suddenly realised I was stood inside the space and, miracle of miracles, I could turn round in it as well.
I was so excited I ran and got my colleague, saying ' You've got to see this.' and dragging her along. She almost fell over laughing and congratulating me, but it was a great moment and I just had to share it with someone.
Little things please little minds...

I'm back

Thursday, November 16, 2006

Well, I haven't done much of anything for the last month. I don't seem to have lost weight but I haven't gained either which is good.
I haven't done any exercise at all except perhaps to walk into the doctor's surgery now and again but I feel almost ready to start again so It's D day on Monday. I can go back to work too.
I didn't think chickenpox could wipe me out like it did, but I suppose at my age it was inevitable, though to get bronchitis at the same time!!!! what are the odds on that?
I need to re-establish a sleep pattern, get back into my exercise programme and eating regime.
Today is my birthday, I am 58. Next year I WILL be at my goal weight.

Another 10%

Thursday, October 05, 2006

Managed to get off my next 10% this week.
I'm so pleased with myself as everything is going great at the moment.
I'm exercising and eating well and I've gone down another dress size, even my shoes feel big and some that I have been wearing all summer actually rubbed a blister on my heel as they now slop up and down.
I've gone from a size 32 to 22/24 at the bottom and a 22 on the top.
It's lovely to go round the shops and find stuff I can try on. I never used to be into clothes much but I could get used to this..
People are beginning to notice now, I thought it would never happen, and I've had one or two encouraging comments.
We go walking and birdwatching and I can now go faster and further without getting puffed and needing a rest.
I also have an arthritic knee which is a lot better.

What a boost!

Saturday, September 16, 2006

Today I bought new trousers from the same shop as I usually get them and I'm....wait for it...two, yes TWO, sizes smaller.
What a boost, I don't seem to look much different but I've definitely lost inches.
