It's been a pretty good couple of days. I've been eating well, most of the time, and have started including more fibre in my diet. I've noticed that by drinking more water, sleeping at a fairly regular schedule and eating better foods, I've been feeling a lot better and my skin has been looking healthier. And I weighed in today (for the first time in a while since I didn't have a scale) and I've now lost a total of 6.5 pounds! That's about a third of my total goal so I'm really happy with it.
I've pretty much given up coffee, tea and soft drinks, except for a cup of tea about once a week, and white bread is pretty much eliminated too. Now it's cutting back on the chocolate that I really need to work on.
I'm still trying to include more strength training in my routine; this week and next it's my major goal to make sure I do strength exercising three times each week.
General life is good too; I'm getting more used to grocery shopping and planning ahead with meals to make sure I don't have to grocery shop too often. I also have spent time in the garden, including some herbs which will help with my cooking. Yayyy!
