I got a gym membership!!!

I have to start by saying I am a penny pincher. So joining the gym was a hard decision but I don't regret.

This is ladies gym that I joined, I'll be taking zumba classes, spinning and probably pole dancing!!!! I still have to think about that one.

Turns out I am not 173 like my scale said...i am actually 176 :*(. THat is what the gym scale said. They measure you and weigh you every month. So I'm excited! I will lose at least 6 of those by next month. That is my goal....

    Girl you and me both!!!! I started a weight loss challange at the not so local ladies gym a few towns away and tomorrow is our 2 week official weigh in...it is the first since the initial weigh in. I am excited to see what progress I have made! I can definately feel a diffence! I hope to stick to it this time!

insanity week 1 complete

So i just finished my 6th workout, my first week of insanity is complete. I wanted to take a picture so you can see how sweaty I am, so I did but my bathroom is yellow and for some reason makes me look all fresh! Anyway...I weighed myself, and I have not lost an ounce, at least that what it tells me, but I look at myself and feel much better. I've been doing southbeach diet phase 1, well i did mess up a couple of times this week but not too bad. Overall I think I did great.

Since it restricts you from eating some bad carbs the first couple of weeks, I feel like my stomach has deflated! it's awesome, I miss them a bit but nothing I can't deal with. I'm actually loving it, and the recipes are delicious. I don't count calories, just eat until full. Right now it's a lot of protein and lots and lots of veggies, yum!

Anyway, here is me after the work out. I swear I was covered in sweat!

day 1 Insanity Fit Test

wow...it kicked my butt....I have to do this test about every 2 weeks to check my progress. Here are my results:

SWITCH KICKS: 77
JACK SQUATS: 39
POWER KNEES: 60
POWER JUMPS: 13
GLOBE JUMPS: 7
SUICIDE JUMPS: 8
PUSH UP JACKS: 8
LOW PRANK OBLIQUE: 51

We'll see how much I improve! This is me after the workout...i'm so sweaty and shaky...and it's only 25 mins!!! oh god I don't want to even think about how I'll end up tomorrow with the real workout!

    Quick question... is there a time limit for each exercise? or do you perform to failure? I found a video on youtube of someone doing their test and I would like to try it... although I don't think I will be able to do near as many of any of these as you have!!
