p90x Lean Wk 1 Day 5

Kenpo was tonight!

I was looking forward to it all day! I got caught up doing some home stuff, then grocery shopping, then while putting away all the produce, I realized I had a bag of spinach there looking not so fresh.

So I decided to do a cream of spinach with it. And of course I've never made cream of spinach before, so it took me a while. Before I knew it it was 10:30 pm.

It didn't matter, I was already in my workout clothes so I just headed to my bed room to do kenpo. But I was feeling a bit tired so I rushed thru the warm up. Yeah...big mistake. Half way thru the workout my legs were cramping up. So I had to stop, because I was really hurting.

I stretched and it feels better now, but I don't think I'll finish the workout.

Tomorrow is a new day, and I promise I'll NEVER skip any warmup moves!

ps. I LOST 1 LB!! YEAHH!!! :D Just wanted to share that :D

P90X Lean Wk 1 Day 4

Today was fun! First of all, I only had like 3 loads of laundry to do. And the last one, hubby helped me put away. No mopping, or anything :D! And also hubby did the workout with me. He is doing p90x also but he's going at his one routine. He also runs (like 2 hours like 3x week) so he uses p90x as his strength training.

So today we did Shoulder's and Arms. I love it! I think it's my favorite of the weights videos from p90x. I am sincerely too lazy to do the ab workout today. :S. I know bad. But I am admitting to it and it will not push me back. Also I tried to engage my abs all through the strength training.


Today was good eating day. I went almost vegetarian today. No meat, well just a bit of turkey bacon and bits of sausage with the Boston Baked Beans (chef_Meg). They are delicious! First time I made them and I am in love! I'll be making these often. Specially since they are done in a crockpot and I love that.

Anyway, it's late. I got my energy level up from my workout, but I still got to shower and get ready for bed so I better get going. Good night my sparkfriends....

PS. I think I got my SP Mojo back!

    Congrats on getting your hubby involved!!! I wish mine would workout with me, but he wont...and thats ok. I have heard nothing but good things about the p90x program!! I hope you have great sucsess and I will be checking back on here to see how is going, I really want to try it i think, But I just jumped into a 12 week biggest loser challenge on my wii so I will have to wait til after that is done. emoticon

P90X Lean Wk 1 Day 3

Today I didn't work out. BUt I don't feel bad about it. I got home around 1 pm. And since I got home, I cleaned, cleaned, and cleaned some more. I only sat down for lunch, for dinner, and for banking i had to do. Probably like 20 mins each.

My back hurts, I am so tired. It's not the same cleaning a 2 bd apartment to a 4 bedroom house. Let me tell you....its QUITE a difference! And my home is all tile, so sweeping and mopping all the way thru!

Also did some laundry....(still not done, but that will be tomorrow).
So I will take today's cleaning as workout!

Tomorrow is yoga, but instead of yoga I'll be doing todays workout, strength training!

    Congratulations on getting so much work done! WOW! I think there is something under cardio called heavy cleaning so you could track it under there. :) I am never sure what is considered heavy so I just divide how ever many hours I did in half and count it like that. :) Keep up the amazing work and keep on Sparking!

CARDIO X TODAY!

Wow, it was fuN! I love it because it has a little bit of everything. THe Yoga was killing though! I am so out of shape but not giving up! After I finished the 45 min. of Cardio, I decided to do a bit of zumba, I couldn't finish the 20 min. I did like 12 mins of it. But hey, it was all extra.

I figured I would try to blog everyday. This will keep me on check. Tomorrow is a new day. I'll be lifting weight tomorrow. I haven't done that in SO long!!!

    Congratulations on getting the planned exercise done and some extra! It doesn't matter if you couldn't complete all of the extra because as you said...it's extra. :) Even 5 minutes extra is awesome! P90X Lean Wk 1 Day 1

Today was my first of P90X Lean. I didn't feel like working out. Stress and problems, bills, etc....all that stuff came to my mind. But then I opened my SP and I had a comment with a wonderful quote from SPOTLIGHTANGEL. And it opened my eyes.

Everything is in my hands. Whether I decide to fail or succeed. Today I decided to succeed. After reading her comment I got up, and changed clothes and started my workout.

My first workout was Core Synergistics. It used to be a good workout for me, but totally doable. Today, it was so hard. I only completed about 35 mins of the video. I was starting to feel miserable and like a failure for not being able to finish it, but I remembered the quote, got up (from my mat this time), and put on a 20 min Zumba workout. I was already warmed up so I dived right into it. It felt so good to dance. It's so liberating.

Anyway, total workout today was a little over an hour. I feel great. I put my son in the bathtub, I'm having a snack (banana and water), cleaning up the kitchen, putting away some clothes and shower and then bed. Tomorrow is a brand new day. And I will make it count.
