Make The Best Of It

So it started off with a nearly 600 calorie breakfast and the day just needed to get better.

Arrived at the gym, did my 15 minutes of cardio and went to start weights. As soon as I picked up the first barball my head started pounding. I decided I couldn't quit so I finished my sets and managed to do as much ab work as my head could stand. Its been bothering me off and on all day. But I made the best of it. Didn't want to miss the workout. It could have been better, but it was something!
Breakfast: 600 cal
Late morning snack 275cal
Afternoon meal: 250cal
Noah's - 290 cal
Dinner 250cal
Total: 1650

No workout tomorrow so I must eat well. Clean and lean.


Oct 3rd - Good Enough So Far?

Its day 3 of a contientious effort to do better and hopefully, lose a poud or so per week in the process. Has it been good enough?

Yesterday - 290cal breakfast, lunch not sure. I was good and ordered a beautiful vegetable and cous cous salad but when my friend offered me some of her french fries (and Cafe des Amis has amazing fries!) I obliged. So call it 500cal. And I dranks lots of H2O.
After school treat was Frozen Yogurt. I had a small amount of non-fat blackberry with lots of fresh fruit. We'll call it 300 cal.
Late afternoon - a ghandful of leftover pasta. Maybe 150cal.
Dinner: Salad with beans. Grapes for dessert. A few bites of kids' dinners. (Why must I do that?). Probably a 400 cal dinner. Total: 1640, Besides some Pac Heights hill walking, I did not get a workout.

Today - I had a terrible breakfast. Made some veggie bacon/egg/cheese biscuits for the kids and they didn't like them - so I ate BOTH. Not even sure of calorie content. Horrendous move Meg. Its 11:;23am. Just ate a hummus, spinach and tomatoe sandwich. 250 cal. Hope this gets me past lunchtime and through my workout.
May today be a better day and hope that this week is enough to knock off at least one lb!!

Now I Have A Goal

When I signed up for Spark, I was sort of desperate. In need of a tool. Turns out I was just as off the rails as ever and didn't log back in once in the month of September. I just signed up for the North Face 10k Trail Race which is December 2nd, So that means I have two months to train and trim the fat. It will be much easier lugging 155 lbs instead of 168 up those Marin County hills.

So yes, I am at a lovely 168 lbs. Frightening. My natural range is between 155-162 and here I am pushing 170.

Today was training day #2. Sunday was boot camp which is great, but a burrito for dinner was a lousy end of the day. The two glasses of wine were nice though.

Today I had a 290 cal breakfast, a 400 cal lunch, a 350 cal afternoon snack, 200 cal before dinner and then salmon and salad for dinner. No wine. I will call that a 1740 day. Ran, stretched and walked for 35 min. That was the best I could do - who knew it was Sukhot? Being a member at the JCC Fitness Center, I should have.

Tomorrow I am having lunch with a friend and may not get a work out in. Must get going on the running and in particular, running hills!

Going to bed now. Nighty night.
