Today was my first long run, 1.5 hours... I am currently going by time not distance my goal is run for 2.5 hours... that should get me to 13 miles. Today I ran 6.5. Not too bad for my first time out. At one point I could not make myself start running again! So I walked further than my original plan, but I feel PROUD about this accomplishment today. And I am still feeling sore from Fridays workout!
For the rest of Feb. I will be doing the long run for 1.5 hours, then in March I will be running for 2. This is on top of the hour I run 3 days a week!! I will get there, I am not worried. So I am trying to decided which 1/3 should be my First. I am training like I will be Running the San Diego Rock n Roll 1/2 Marathon on June 6th... But I am not sure yet.... I am going to run the Los Angels Rock-n-Roll 1/2 in October. I think my brother will be running that too. FUN!

Happy New Year all my Spark friends. Its been quite an interesting few months! As I mentioned in another blog I'm sure, I joined a running bootcamp that starts at 5:20 in the morning 3 days a week. Now there are so many cool things about that.. such as it FORCES me to get up and run, in the dark, cold (and next week raining) mornings when I would much rather be in bed! AND I do things I would never do by myself... things like HILLS and sprints... I just RUN alone. And I have a bunch of girls running with me now! SUPER COOL! Now to get them all to this site... :-)
I know this is going to be the year when I accomplish all my goals, and lose those last 5 pounds! There is something different in the air already do you feel it? I am out there, running, spreading the word.. .and having FUN! Now if I could just get the work/life balance together, it would be PERFECT!

Where did the time go?!?! Happy Holidays!!!!!
Even though I am only on line about once a week anymore, at least I am working out! I might not be logging it here... but I have been doing it!!! Let me just say that I LOVE my running club... so motivating, so fun, so welcoming! My first 3 weeks of it was GREAT! And several of us were out there this morning, just to run!! So cool! I have to say 5:30am is EARLY... but at least I get it out of the way, and I don't have to worry about working out the rest of the day! Woohoo!!!! I will sign up for the 6 week course soon... Starting the first of Jan... (or around there) It is such great motivation.
My work is still taking over my life... I can not get out on time to save my life!!!!!!! Very frustrating. Everyone is commenting on that... I have yet to really figure out WHY I can not get out... but I can not. I then come home, and go to bed.. .sometimes with dinner, and other times not so much. I know not really healthy, but its about the best I can do these days! :-) Starting this week I am adding 1 more fitness thing in... On the non running days... before I study... Good thing this is all short term! :-) I am just looking at my life these days in 6 week chunks! Wow... Ok I will attempt to weigh in and all that tomorrow... :-) Hopefully I will get my computer time! CIAO!
