Fat?... and Stage

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

Reading Yoovie's blog I really have to admit I suffered a lot as I WAS AFRAID OF LOOKING FAT ON STAGE and avoided it for many many years.
Now I've learnt not to care and if people think I'm the fattest on stage I will not care at all.
I'll be reharsing for show in Feb., I'm not going to waste all my efforts with this fear.
What'd you SP think???? emoticon

What you show us as you dance is the direct reflection of who you believe yourself to be. If you believe you are graceful and elegant in your minds eye, then we who sit and watch and yell "Bravo" will witness that sublime creature which is you.

All of us, even me, from time to time, falter a bit in our confidence. When you take the stage, when the house lights lower, the music rises and you stun us all into silence with the beauty of your movement do you really, really, believe anyone will see fat or thin?

They will see the beauty of creation, mirrored through you.

What an amazing gift you have!!!

A size 6?

Sunday, January 24, 2010

That's kind of incredible...
I've just tried a pair of trousers with the idea of giving it away.
A size 6. White.
I was sure it was impossible for me to wear a 6 anymore, particularly as my extra kiloes are here to stay - it seems.
They must have their reasons, I reckon.
To my utter surprise, the pants fit perfectly. I am shocked.
I knew MaxMara has very generous sizes (a 6 with MM can be really an 8), but I was very skeptical and almost ready to separate from my white, beautiful pants .
A mistake, an error.
On the contrary, they fit perfectly!!!!
How many times do we consider a mistake in our lives what was simply perfect ?????
What do you SP think???

Is it all about fashion?

Saturday, January 23, 2010

I've just stumbled into one of the fashion magazines with all pictures of new fashion for the spring/summer 2010.
At the beginning all I felt was anger, there were only a few clothes I could wear at the moment without looking like a fool.
Then I started to notice how these women looked awfully alike. Same bodies, same colors and - strangely- same looks.
But beauty does not come in just one way in this world, it has so many varieties, like the smile of a child, the green grass and so on.
So, I decided I want to look different.
I will not buy clothes which are designed for serial bodies, I want to wear clothes that make me feel myself - different, full of shortcomings, but myself.

I agree. Much of what I see in the fashion mags I would never wear - and this has held true for most of my adult life. I have only worn what I am comfortable in and wear the colors that I like - not an in season color that does not compliment me.

I wear allot of black because of the corporation I work for and which is each floor higher = more status. I work on the 1st floor ~ ha-ha

Loved your blog!

I've always been a more classic dresser myself. Fashion tends to go right along with fads. Who wants the latest fashion when it's going to be out of style in just a week or two?

I love this posting!!! Your fashion should reflect who YOU are, not someone who eats once every thirty days!!! I have a passion for Hawaiin shirts. I love all colors, patterns etc. sometimes people stare a bit funny, but I figure, who cares!!!

If you believe...

Friday, January 22, 2010

I came across the Bible quote that says :
'If you believe...you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer'
Now, I've been worried for ages about asking and not receiving, but... did I really believe??
I think I must try the other way round, believing is even before asking...asking without believing is a waste of time.

I truly believe if we ask with faith then it will be answered!!!

I had a kind of revelation recently. It goes that I belive in myself ( My talents, my stengths and my abilities) and I trust in God.

I know what you mean about the whole worthiness issue. for a long time I felt my lack of faith kept me from receiving all god wanted me to have. But........... lol, in the story of the prodigal son, the bible says that the father saw the son, "while he was a long way off." I belive thats how God sees us on our journey. He knows we are getting there and he gives us what we need, when we need it.

Have a good day

Exactly. Genuine, unquestionable belief in yourself/ talents/ abilities and in God. You will be unstoppable.

Prayers are always answered. As the answers we give our children are not always yes, so Our Lord sometimes says no or wait.

Interesting. I have been disappointed that one of my prayers has not been answered.
I will need to study up on "believing". Thanks for the thought.
