Anti-Cancer....take care of your "terrain" for Thanksgiving

Tuesday, November 23, 2010

Foods rich in Omega 3's and foods that are low on the glycemic index do not help cancer cells grow and offer you protection...salmon, flax seeds and oils, chia seeds, turmeric and black pepper, leeks, onions, garlic, shallots, broccoli, blueberries, almonds, walnuts, raspberries, cabbage, green tea, mint, rosemary, thyme, oregano, spinach, brussel sprouts, agave nectar (instead of sugar).

Only meats from animals that have been grass fed and/or fed linseed. And yes, organic foods have been proven scientifically to be beneficial.

Fill up your plate with vegetables, with your meat as a side dish, instead of the other way 'round.

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you! May your day be filled with loving connections with people whom you mutually support; may your day be filled with calm, peace and deep in-the-moment breathing; may your day be filled with joy and laughter; and may your tummy be filled with bountiful and celebratory fresh, organic cruciferous vegetables, a bit of fish or poultry, some organic pumpkin in a crust of almonds, and a few cups of healing green tea.
