Well, the scale still isn't giving it up easily... but there are a few reasons for that...
First.. I know I am adding muscle like crazy... so the scale will hide those losses for a little while longer... until it just cant keep up with the awesome calorie burning machine I am building ;)
It's also that time of the month... so I expect that a loss will be coming my way very soon... once the water weight goes away...
Also, because I'm working out so hard, my body may be holding on to every last calorie it can... so I will probably need to cycle some of my days with higher calories soon... this is a scary thought... eat more to lose weight, but it works :)
I have also made the realization that I finally view food as nourishment instead of enjoyment (for the most part)... Although I work hard at making sure my foods are very appealing and tasty, I am no longer feeding myself unless it is for health reasons... and I am doing this 4-6 times a day in very small meals. No more crashes and now my tummy actually lets me know when to feed it... so I keep 100-200 calorie snacks/ meals around at all times. Every time my tummy growls now, I think to myself.. I am burning fat now :)
I have been making a very concerted effort to stay busy and active as much as I can... it's actually becoming addictive :) Yesterday, I went to the gym and worked out with a friend for 1.5 hours doing spin bike, elliptical and abs... then went for a 14k bike ride outdoors... then back to the gym later for a whole body weight training session... I felt like a rock star! I actually felt like I have wanted to feel for more than ten years... what a win!
No longer that girl who couldn't make it up a flight of stairs.
