Weekends are the worst!
I can start out okay with my usual breakfast. But Fridays, for example, are my evenings off, and DH likes to go to a restaurant - and so do I for that matter - and while I may actually stay in limits, like I did recently, at the restaurant, there are usually glitches at SOME point, like DH getting me the ice cream which put me way over. Then there are the irregularities like at the team meetings. I try to stick to veggies, but it can be pretty difficult, especially when I don't keep certain things in the house, so it's like a special treat.
I DO eat LESS of these things though, and I eat with a greater awareness of what I'm taking in.
But anyway, today I was 208.5, five and a half pounds above what I got down to! I have GOT to use more self control!
At least I maintain the exercise!

I believe the Peruvian name for guinea pig is an onompatopeia (spelling?) Anyway, today to gain one littel Spark Point I did a search, and usually I just think, "hmm, what shall I look up today?" So I decided to look up guinea pigs. Found an article that mentioned them as food. I had my first taste of it when I was with Pastor Patricio for the day. He is from the sierra and wanted me to have a taste of their regional cooking. I KNEW it was guinea pig by the little paw on the leg quarter! Anyway, I was glad to see that it's low in fat and high in protein. So, when I go to Cusco in February, I'll make a point of enjoying it when it is served.

I broke through the barrier of 204! Weighing in at pre-poop 203 this morning, I am hopeful for 202 tomorrow morning - SIXTY pounds since I started. A Happy Anniversary present to myself (I suppose to dh as well, not that he really cares about my weight - in fact he is still wont to bring home snacks which I would rather he did not!)

Since i started school, I've been filling 3-4 half liter bottles halfway and freezing them the night before, then filling them the rest of the way with water before heading to school. With 4 bottles I can easily reach the 8 cup goal before lunch! Also, because I've drunk all that water I have to pee a lot. So if I canhold it, I go to the restroom on a different floor so that I can take a quick trot back upstairs, thus getting a little extra cardio.It's especially good, because being seated for too long makes me stiffen up.I need to move around some!
I've also taken to meeting my daughter on her way to get my granddaughter from school to walk with her part way. It's a mile round trip, which I'm not up for yet (I did it one day, and I was in a lot of pain afterwards). So, I'll work my way up.I'm sure as I lose more weight it won't bother me as much.

And what does it mean, BLOG? Is it an acronym?
While I appreciate the Richard Simmons' workouts, and the oldies can be fun, I DON'T like having "Upside Down" and "Maniac" stuck in my head...so one night I sat and jotted down the routine, for the most part, and today I put in one of my favorite cd's, by Marcos Witt, and I worked out to TAHT. I didn't follow Simmons' routine EXACTLY, and I even put in some moves from the dance dvd, but I kept moviing vigorously and worked up a good sweat to " Tengo Libertad" , "Vengan Todos, " "El Gozo Del Senor" and., yes - "En Los Montes, En Los Valles". I even did a warm up to "Mi Deseo" and a cool down to "Dios Ha Sido Bueno". But I owe a debt of gratitude to R. Simmons and to D. Austin for at least showing me some moves, and I'll probably STIlL do them from time to time. But give me the worship and praise!
