Core Syn. Well I was feeling more like my ol' self today but still not 100% Sinus issues are nasty! At least the headache is gone. I made it through all but a few exercises and I definitely got my sweat on. I'm even toying with the idea of a bike ride when I get home, so I know I'm feeling better. I upped my push ups again today and I'm feeling it again today as well. In fact last night just before going up to bed, I gave myself a challenge to drop and give me 20, and I DID! 20 full fledged, honest to goodness, you could recognise they were push ups, push ups! Even when I was doing them every night several years ago, I never made it past 10 at a time. I think the difference is it's not just the push ups that are building those muscles this time around since I'm doing P90X. I can feel it in the downward dog, upward dog, plank, and several others, and even though I hate the yoga X sequence with all those moves, I have no problem doing them during core syn or any of the other routines. The difference is the sheer quantity he expect us to do during Yoga X. I simply CAN'T do that many consecutively, nor do I want to.
I'll most likely do arms and shoulders tomorrow and I think I'll do Ab Ripper X tonight. As for Thursday, I may just try the Plyo Routine. It kind of scares me and I never had to do it during lean but since I'm doing my own version of doubles, I guess I should give it a shot. It can't possibly be worse than Yoga X and I lived through that a few times before I kicked it to the curb.
The best part of all is as of this AM I was down 1.5 pounds in the past 6 days. The doubles are definitely the key to me losing.

Back at it again today. Started with Cardio X and replaced the downward dogs with 3 respectable push ups each time. My shoulders and arms are feeling it now but I was so proud of my accomplishment. My push ups are so much more recognisable now than they were the first time around.
I am dealing with sinus issues and have been since Saturday, so my stamina faltered toward the end today but I pushed through everything except the Dreya Rolls and the last Superman/Banana. I literally collapsed when he switched so fast at the end of that one.
MY weekend was not a good one, considering the dinner out to celebrate DHs 50th birthday, and 24 hours of SNOW! I suffer from seasonal depression and snow in May is seasonally depressing!
So, no doubles for me today but I know I have last week's doubles to thank for the fact that I'm down a 1/2 pound even though I had a naughty, lazy weekend.

My last P90X workout was Yog-ugh X on Wednesday. (I was traveling Thursday and Friday so all I was able to do was walk.) Anyway, back to yog-ugh X, ..... I HATE IT!!! And I'm a yoga lover! In fact I hate it so much that I don't think I get the workout I should. I think in the future I will replace it with another workout and do yoga on my own. The yoga I like is more about feeling the stretch, lowering blood pressure and HR and balance. I know I'll get more of a workout if I do something else because I will work harder and push myself more and I won't want to kill Tony! As for flexibility, I'll get more out of my own workout than Tony's for that.
What I hate most is the repetition. * plank/chatterunga/upward dog/plank/push up/ downward dog - repeat * LIKE A THOUSAND TIMES!!! ENOUGH ALREADY! I do all of those moves in my own yoga practice just like Tony does them, with the exception of the sun salutation. Mine is much more involved with many more moves in the sequence. My practice includes plank/upward dog/plank/downward dog, just NOT A THOUSAND TIMES!!! I also take more time working into the stretch. Tony goes too quickly through that for my taste. Normal muscles don't stretch that quickly! (At least mine don't) I don't consider Yoga as exercise like cardio and strength training. It's way too relaxing to be exercise! I consider it attending to your mental health. Done my way, I LOVE it! Done Tony's way, it just makes me angry! If I'm going to devote 90 minutes to exercise, I want to get my blood pumping and I want sweat! Lots of it! What can I say? I'm an opinionated ol gal!
So, Tony, you - me - Yoga X - not gonna happen!

After completing my Arms and Shoulders this AM with maximum reps and 10 pound weights, I followed up with a 9.6 mile bike ride in 46 minutes, which added another 500 calorie burn to my burn bank today! 170's, you will soon be a thing of the past. Good riddance!

Well, I did it! I completed Shoulders and Arms today and I did all but one exercise iwth 10 pound weights and maximum reps! I ussed 5 pounders for the straight arm fly in the bonus round. They were too light. I may have been able to do the 10s but I think 8s would have been perfect. I'll have to dig them out before next time. The thing that amazed me the most was my form was perfect and I could have done it again! I couldn't say that the first time around! I even managed 20 chair dips each time with my legs straight and 20 of the side tricep push ups each time. I may not look like one of Tony's girls but I did more reps than Dreya, who is supposedly the matter of that move! Yay ME!
Managed my bike ride again last night. 6.5 miles in 31 minutes. About 2 miles in, when I hit the first big hill, my legs felt so weak from riding the day before but I pushed through it and by 4 miles I was rocking! I made it home just as the skies opened up for the third time. God was smiling on me yesterday!
It's cooler today but sunny, so another bike ride it is. I'm feeling ready to add miles already, which really surprises me, considering how I felt 2 miles in yesterday. The mind is a wonderful thing, isn't it? You accomplish one thing you set your mind to and all the sudden it thinks you can do more! Positive breeds positive and I'm in business!
