Has resisted the temptation

Friday, February 15, 2013

Yay!! I have not had pop...even a sip since the beginning of the month. I've limited my liquids to water, coffee, tea and juice. I've also cut down on the amount of chocolate!! only three times this month...including a couple of pieces of Lindt chocolate for breakfast this morning...Okay not the best breakfast, but my dear daughter gave it to me on my way to bed last night and I didn't have any then.

Lesson Learned

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

The weekend went well, but yesterday was I bad. Went to the grocery to buy a good lunch, but ran into a friend who bought lasagna from the deli...mmmm, it even came with a piece of garlic toast. For the average person that would have been great...but not for someone who has a dairy allergy and is lactose intolerant emoticon . So after a painful afternoon it was home to the couch to recover.

Today, it was oatmeal for breakfast, a healthy choice for lunch and chicken stir fry and sweet potato for supper. What a difference. Still need to remember to drink my water and plan ahead on meal plans.

Good Week

Friday, February 08, 2013

What a great week!! I managed to eat healthy meals 3 of the 5 days.

Dinner #1 Spagetti squash with spagetti sauce with leftovers for lunch on day 2.
Dinner #2 Stuffed chicken breast, sweet potato/gaucamole and quinoa with chopped peppers. Again leftovers for breakfast (quinoa) and lunch sweet potato and gaucamole.
Two slacker days cereal and cheeseburger (can't resist the best d**n arena burgers in Northern AB :).
Dinner #3 Chicken breast and my new fav veggie combo sweet potato and gaucamole.

I can't believe how much energy I have and not feeling blah. I'm really looking forward to improving on healthy meal days. emoticon

You are off to a great start. I love your attitude and the positive message you are giving by looking at what you did RIGHT and then afterward, looking at the places you didn't do quite so well. You have things in the right perspective. Keep up the great work!! You are doing AWESOME!!

Yay, tripled my wardrobe.

Saturday, July 28, 2012

I finally feel well enough since the surgery to go through my closet. Tried on alot of tops/blouses I haven't even thought of wearing in a looooong time and no gapping :).

I even put on an old bra...don't know why I still have it but it looked great. Not as small as the doctor said I would be, maybe they're still a little swollen. Still gonna be a while before I can buy one as I won't see the doctor til the end of August and she wants me to wear the binder (a tight fitting tube top) until then.

WEll, that makes more sense, when my sis had her breast reduction done, she was in such pain cuz she was wearing a regular bra, ...need I saw more... I suggested what was called then "the long line" but, hopefully pain is minimal and you got what they promised... What I can't understand is they promised her a 36B and suposedly she got it, but we stil wear the same size top and I'm a 40DD... any ideas....

Post Surgery

Sunday, July 15, 2012

It's been 9 days since my surgery but I'm doing well. The surgeon took 4 pounds total off my breasts and I've somehow lost another 4Went into the city yesterday and did a little shopping for myself, bought some blouses for work and not the stretchy kind :) so good to be able to buttons up and no puckering. Can't wait to exercise without that excess burden, but will have to be patient.

With most of the family gone this week I'm looking forward to no junk food in the house lol, maybe put my oldest to work around the house helping me organize since I'm not supposed to lift/carry anything too heavy.

Happy Summer
