S o today i went to old navy and tried on a pair of 6 jeans, and guess what...... they fit!!!!!!!!! emoticon I have been struggling for a while, trying to lose weight, going up and down on the scale. When i started SP i was in a size 10! I've have been working out lots and the number on the scale doesn't seem to be moving, but the inches are peeling away, finally i feel like the hard work is paying off!

    Congrats, that's awesome! I just had the same experience the other day, and it made me feel awesome. My weight seems to be stuck at one number, but I think it's because I am gaining muscle and losing fat.

Yay for hard work paying off!

I'm so upset with myself right now, and i don't know what to do. I've been working out 6 days a week, ad eating healthy everyday, staying within my calorie range. i do strength training, and lots of cardio, and still no weight loss. no inches lost, nothing!!!!!!! I just sick of this. i really wanted to look great in a swimsuit this summer but i guess i'll have to forget about thatGRRR it's just really really frustrating. I don't know what to do, i'm just disappointed in myself; i let myself down :(

    I agree. I think 1200 calories is way too low for anyone. Esp if you are working out. I don't know what your recommended calories are on SP but for me it said 1200-1550. HA JOKE. Sometimes I do a 1500 day but most days its 1700 or 1800. Maybe reevualuate what your eating, you need carbs and protein when you workout to help you build muscle.. Sometimes its 2 steps forward one step backward type of deal. I would try varying your workout if you normally run on the treadmill do the stairmaster, elipitical or swimming to switch it up a bit. Either way working out 6 days a week is awesome.. Good job..

I understand completely what you mean. Weight loss is frustrating and sometimes it's hard to see anything happening. I talked to my brother tonight and he said that sometimes you have to kick up your exercise routine because your body gets used to the routine after about 3-5 week. I swim about 4 or 5 times a week and I don't know what to do either. Anyway, hang in there. donna emoticon

Don't get hung up on the scale, give yourself time for your body to adjust to all of the great things you're doing for it.

    If you did everything right, then why did you write that you let yourself down? Did I miss something? If you are staying in your range with food and workouts and not losing an inch or a pound, then you are most likely not eating enough. I lost .25 pounds last year in THREE MONTHS of working out like a crazy person and eating perfectly--- but I was barely eatin 1200 calories and working out 400-500 calories 5-6x a week. Everyone told me to eat more but it went against my heavy girl way of thinking to eat more. Finally, after being frustrated just like you, I added 200-300 more calories a day and worked out 1 less day a week putting my total work out focus on cardio. Boom, I went right back on track. Now, almost 14 months and 80 pounds later, I know I ate to little and worked out more then my calorie intake could handle.

Just a thought--- Good luck and keep up the efforts, it will pay off.
