When I saw this quote this morning I knew this had to come to my blog. We all have a will to lose this weight, get healthy, and continue or begin this journey. It is up to us to find the way. Spark gives us the tools we just have to figure out which hand works best and how to use them.
This week I thought I had found a way by planning each day out in advance, it worked the first five days. Then last night I home and eat a healthy dinner, then sit down with popcorn (which in itself isn't bad) and then it hits.....the munchies. I still did ok and stayed in my points range but lets just say today is going to be very tough. I will have to stay right on to come out ahead this week. We all know that the weekends are the worse. But alas I have a new way today, i'm getting outside. Weather here is central alabama is going to be in mid sixties, sun shinning and i'm going to get outside and get in a run/walk, get some flower beds cleared out, and maybe even get some laundry hung. For me staying busy is going to be my way.
So in closing this blog I guess what we need to remember is where one idea may not work, there is plenty more where that came from. we are going to get there from here, it just may take a bit of planning and a few failures to get to the end result. Be patient. Good things come to those who wait.

WELL HERE I SIT, GETTING READY TO GET IN MY MORNING EXERCISE. THE GROUND IS WHITE OUTSIDE MY WINDOW, NOT FROM SNOW FROM FROST. REALLY I DON'T KNOW WHICH I WOULD WANT LESS. COLD IS COLD. I'M READY TO GET OUTSIDE AND RUN. THIS WEEKEND I THINK, SUPPOSE TO WARM UP.
SINCE I WON'T GO OUT IN THE COLD I WILL JUMP ON MY ELLIPTICAL AND GET TO IT. I'VE BEEN SAVING FOR A TREADMILL AND I WANT THE GOOD ONE SO I'M ABOUT HALF WAY THERE. CAN'T WAIT. SO DETERMINATION PAYS OFF. I SET A GOAL AND I'M STICKING WITH IT. BE IT WEIGHT LOSS OR SAVING FOR A MUCH COVETED TREASURE. THAT IS WHAT SPARK IS ALL ABOUT. SETTING GOALS AND ATTAINING THEM.
THIS MORNING I READ BLOGS WHERE SOME HAD LOST NO WEIGHT AND WANTED TO GIVE IN. THAT IS NOT AN OPTION. OH I SOMETIMES WHINE AND THINK I MAY WANT TO, BUT THEN I WAKE UP FROM THE MOMENT AND HELLO, I'M STILL GOING AT IT. YES I HAVE BAD WEEKS, AND YES I HAVE BAD MOMENTS BUT THAT IS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT. WE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE LEARNING ABOUT THE JOURNEY AND WHAT IT TAKES NOT ONLY TO GET THERE BUT TO STAY THERE. SO I SAY, LET'S NOT GIVE IN. IF YOU CAN'T GET OUTSIDE FOR THE WEATHER JUST GET UP AND MOVE. MOVE THROUGH THE HOUSE, MOVE IN A ROOM. JUST MOVE. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO WASTE IT WONDERING IF YOU WILL GET THERE. WHY NOT JUST HEAD THERE.
TODAY IS A NEW DAY, AND I AM GOING TO GET THERE FROM HERE. ONE DAY AT A TIME.

well guys I can't explain it. This week has been tough, I used all my ww points and then some, it was my pms week and I step on the scales this morning with the "ok, this is not going to be good" attitude and guess what? I'm down a half pound. . The only thing i can figure is that i kept up with my exercise, and my water and got in veggies and fruits. I have to give credit to the exercise. So if you are having a moment or two like me this past week, just like spark says just pick ;up where you left off and you will still come out a winner.
So this is my valentines gift to me. This is my new week with new goals. I even took spark up on one of its articles and got me some little gold stars. I plan on using them in my journal to show me my progress for this week. I will continue this little "game" until i'm where i need to be. Sort of a reward on a daily basis kinda thing.
Do you reward yourself? If so, how? I sometimes feel a little goes a long way. We need to feel good about ourselves or this little journey and lifestyle change just won't work. I was feeling sorry for myself this past week. But a few spark friends picked me up and sent me back on my way. I really was at the i want to quit stage, i say i was, but i couldn't. As my getting up and exercising daily showed. I'm in this for the long haul. Up or down, it is how i handle the setbacks that will get me where i'm going.
