Attitude is Everything.
The old addage attitude is everything is so true in our journey. If we come at this thing with attitude and head in the direction we are meant to go, shoot the battle is half won.l
I have attitude about a lot of things in my life. My children, my husband, my lord, and last on my list is me. I have always put myself last. Not this time around. I have taken the first steps to a new healthy lifestyle and i'm sitting in the drivers seat. No more doing for others and leaving nothing for Michelle. Now Michelle is takeing control and leaving all the nonesense behind.
My journey started out terrific, I had a buddy in this and we compared notes, weigh ins, exercises......well we all know what happened to that.....i'm still here and she...............well isn't. But I didn't let that stop me, nor did I give in. I kept trudging along. I still give her an update even if she really could care less, I care. I care about my progress and I want her to see that she could be back on this walk with me. But alas we can't force or push anyone to do what we want. So I just wait, I figure once I reach my goals on this journey she will get the lightbulb effect and wake up to what is really in her best interest.
Now I want you all to know I have been blessed on this journey, I have met new friends who do share my goals and attiude about getting healthy. I can tell my accomplishments, failures, and woohoo moments. I think that is one of the most beautiful things spark gives us, motivators.
So to my spark friends out there......thank you...While on this journey you need attitude you also needs friends to pick you up when you fall, and you will fall, friends to cheer for you, cry for you and pray for you.
So I will end this blog on this note: have attitude where health is concerned. No one can get us to our goals but us. So lets give it all weve got and then some.

Play with life, laugh with life, dance lightly with life, and smile at the riddles of life, knowing that life’s only true lessons are writ small in the margin.
- Jonathan Lockwood Huie
Life is unpredictable and unknowable. Attempting to resist life leads to suffering. Yet, floating through life like a dead log also leads to a loss of all joy. For a meaningful and joyous life, gently guide the forces of life in the direction of your goals.
Visualize how the martial arts fighter uses the strength of his opponent against him. Use that principle in your encounter with life. Deflect the blows rather than allowing them to crush you.
ALRIGHT MY SPARK FRIENDS, LETS GIVE THIS JOURNEY ALL WEVE GOT. NO SLACKING, NO SAYING TOMORROW, NO NOT GETTING UP AND MOVING, AFTER ALL EXERCISE IS THE KEY.
I FOR ONE AND GIVING ALL I'VE GOT AND MORE. I HAVE A GOAL AND I WANT TO REACH IT THIS COMING YEAR. I GAVE MYSELF A SMALL RESOLUTION FOR THIS YEAR AND I AM GOING TO ACHIEVE IT. SO LETS GIVE THIS ALL WE HAVE PLUS AND MAKE THOSE CHANGES WE HAVE BEEN TELLING OURSELVES WE WANT.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.
It really is all we make of it. I plan to make it all I can. I have days when i want to just lay down and sleep, but movement is what is needed so i move. I'm moving in the right direction. At least in my mind which is what counts.
Today is my official weigh in for the week. I hope i moved in the right direction this week where that is concerned. I did wonderful all week until yesterday, had a moment.....cheese puffs. But after the moment or two passed i was sick on my stomach, not from guilt from the food....funny how we change. I thought i wanted them, and i have to admit while i was eating they tasted ok, then it hit me, like a ton of bricks. The sick feeling. and then it was over. no more chips, no dinner, still wasn't feeling good after a couple of hours. Lesson learned: not into that anymore, tummy can't handle it. The sad truth is now that i felt like that i won't want them anymore. I guess it was for the best.
So i move forward....onto a new day, new goals and new ideas. so to all my spark friends i say....we can get there from here. It may just take a few extra steps but we have our whole new lives to get there. This isn't a contest on who can reach the goal line first. This is your life. Enjoy the scenery along the way. And as i have learned with the cheese puffs sometimes you can't go back which is great. For me that means i'm heading in the right direcdtion. god bless this sunday. michelle.

People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.
- Zig Ziglar
Courage doesn't always roar.
Sometimes courage is the quiet voice
at the end of the day, saying,
"I will try again tomorrow."
- Mary Anne Radmacher
True courage is taking another small step each day toward achieving your vision.
